This area, crossed by the waters of the Alagón, has its centre in the reservoir of Gabriel y Galán. Vetton, Celtiberian, Roman, Nasrid, after it was reconquered at the end of the 15th century, it has always been known as Tierras de Granadilla. Surrounded by mountain ranges, this area comprises large grazing pasture for cattle, numerous olive grove plantations and Woodland. Visited are rewarded by witnesses from history, with the ancient Roman city of Cáparra being the most noteworthy, but not the only one.

A visit to the Cáparra archaeological site and the plentiful Roman remains distributed around the area.
The medieval village of Granadilla, today forming a peninsula surrounded by the water of the reservoir and carefully restored making i tan emblematic place.
A visit to the Gabriel y Galán Museum belonging to the Extremadura-born poet of that name in Guijo de Granadilla.
Walking around the cattle grazing pastures of Santibáñez el Bajo, an area open to the public allowing people to find out more about agriculture and livestock, first hand.
Carrying out all manner of water sports in the reservoirs guided by local specialists.
The cuisine, based on pork, olive and honey.
