LONDON (Reuters) - Police said two people had been stabbed in an ongoing incident in central London on Friday, with armed officers on the scene at Sony Music UK’s head office in Kensington.

London’s Metropolitan Police said they were called to the incident at Derry Street where Sony’s offices are based at about 1100 GMT. They said one person had been arrested and it was not being treated as terror-ism.

“Officers, including firearms officers, and London Am-bulance Service are in attendance,” police said. “Evac-uations are in place as precaution. Two people have suffered stab injuries – we await an update on their condition.”

Pictures on social media showed large numbers of po-lice vehicles at the scene. Business journalist Simon Neville wrote on Twitter that he saw a man wearing a red jacket being tackled to the ground in a loading bay on Derry Street.

“Security seemed to have him under control and closed the loading bay shutters once tackled,” he wrote.

No one from Sony was immediately available for com-ment.

Baldwin’s publicist declined to comment after the arrest. But the actor later tweeted from the account of the Hilaria and Alec Baldwin Foundation that “the assertion that I punched anyone over a parking spot is false. I wanted to go on the record stating as much.”

Baldwin complained that it’s become “a sport” to tag people with as many “negative charges and de-faming allegations as possible for the purposes of clickbait entertainment.”

Baldwin, 60, told police a family member was hold-ing the spot in front of his Manhattan home when a man driving a Saab station wagon pulled up and took it. The driver of the station wagon told police Baldwin hit him with his hand, but he wasn’t sure if it was a punch or a slap.

A caravan estimated to number at least 3,500 people, which left Honduras in mid-October and is now in south-ern Mexico, has become a major issue in U.S. congressio-nal elections on Nov. 6.

The bulk of migrants caught trying to enter the United States illegally via Mexico come from El Salvador, Hondu-ras and Guatemala. Many make the dangerous journey north to escape high levels of poverty and violence in their homelands.

The United States is in the process of sending 5,200 troops to its southern border as part of Trump’s crack-down on illegal immigration. The prospect has so far not discouraged people from leaving El Salvador.

“It scares us a little. But since we’re seeing a ton of peo-ple going together, we can help one another to cross,” said Jose Machado, one of the migrants departing San Salvador, carrying a backpack stuffed with clothing and toiletries.

Desde que comenzó a publicarse el reporte Doing Business, en 2003, el mayor número de reformas vinculadas con la puesta en marcha de empresas se registró en América Latina y el Caribe, donde el tiempo promedio que requiere el inicio de actividades de una empresa se redujo de 78 días en 2003 a 32.

The federal government is launching national pay equity legislation and a new department for wom-en and gender equality as part of a wide-ranging, 850-page budget bill tabled late on Monday.

The omnibus bill includes the new Pay Equity Act, which gives affected employers with at least 10 employees three years to come up with a pay equity plan. MADRID (AP) — The Span-ish league is launching a campaign hoping to show that American fans are be-hind its plan to host a regu-lar-season soccer game in the United States.

The league and its U.S. partners on Thursday be-gan asking fans to sign an online petition to show their support for the planned Barcelona-Girona game near Miami in January.

“In an effort to showcase the public support to bring this match to the U.S., we are launching a petition campaign to encourage U.S. soccer fans to make their voices heard,” the league and sports and en-tertainment group Relevent said in a statement. “The #BringUStheGame cam-paign will show the sports world that this match is

good for the fans and good for the game in America, and that U.S. Soccer risks alienating millions of fans if they choose to block this game.”

The league’s idea to play games in the U.S. to pro-mote its brand has been met by criticism from soc-cer officials and some fans and clubs in Spain. The dispute has become a tug-of-war among the several stakeholders, with all sides trying to weigh-in and de-fend their ground.

The FIFA Council recently opposed the plan after re-ceiving a request to take a stance from CONCACAF and the federations in the United States and Spain, which have a say on wheth-er the game can be played, along with UEFA. FIFA’s permission for the match

is not mandatory but its op-position was a setback for the league.

The league said it is pre-pared to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport if FIFA somehow pro-hibits the match, and it is also ready to go to court in Spain if the local federation denies its request to play abroad. The Spanish feder-ation already hinted it op-poses the match but hasn’t yet made a final ruling.

Russia’s Investigative Com-mittee said the unnamed teenager had detonated a homemade bomb in the lobby of the FSB, the coun-try’s main domestic securi-ty and intelligence service, in the city of Arkhangelsk. It said he had died on the spot.

Investigators said they had identified the teenager as a resident of the city, which is around 1,000 km (620 miles) north of Moscow, but did not name him.

Three FSB employees were wounded in the blast, the Investigative Committee said in a statement.It published what it said was a CCTV image of the bomber in the lobby of the building. A spokeswoman for the In-vestigative Committee said the investigation would be handled by Moscow and that Russia’s top investi-gator, Alexander Bastry-kin, wanted the teenager’s motive and other details to be established as soon as possible.

Svetlana Petrenko, the spokeswoman, said the bomber’s flat was being searched and that his friends and close relatives were being questioned. De vez en cuando surge una situación compleja e impactante que nos lleva a un importante cambio de perspectiva. Las dudas que estás sintiendo son pertinentes porque todavía no tienes la información que necesitas.

¿Qué sabes? ¿Y cómo sabes que lo sabes? Alguien te ha dado una información que parece tener la ca-pacidad de desestabilizar todo aquello que llevas mucho tiempo sosteniendo como cierto. Lo que pasa con la información es que normalmente no somos conscientes de lo que no sabemos

Cuando los adivinos modernos predicen la naturaleza de los sucesos que todavía no se han producido, lo hacen analizando los datos arrojados por estas investiga-ciones. Estos sofisticados oráculos tienen la misma confianza en su método que tenemos los astrólo-gos cuando leemos los movimientos planetarios.

¿Dónde dejaste el contrato después de haberlo firmado? Lo más seguro es que lo hayas guarda-do a buen recaudo para poder volver a consultarlo cuando haga falta. ¿Sabes a cuál me refiero? Es el manuscrito que firmaste antes de tu llegada al planeta Tierra. Te prometía una vida sencilla.

¿Qué hay a tu alcance? ¿Qué puedes lograr sin la necesidad de tener que trabajar mucho? Sea lo que sea, es todo lo que necesitas hacer hoy. Si ves que estás pasando apuros o que te estás presion-ando, sólo es debido a que, de forma involuntaria, has complicado excesivamente un problema que podría ser mucho más sencillo.

Hay algo reconfortante en tener un plan inamovible, aunque no nos guste especialmente lo que esto im-plica. Saber dónde se supone que vamos a estar y lo que se supone que estamos haciendo hace que nos sintamos seguros, mientras que el espacio que viene de “no saber” nos deja libertad para la duda.

Los televisores, lavaplatos, ordenadores y sistemas Wi-fi tienen algún momento en el que no funcionan como deberían. A veces los fallos se solucionan so-los y en otras ocasiones se necesita la intervención de un profesional. La gente puede ser igual de impredecible cuando se trata de su nivel de ren-dimiento y su formalidad.
