    Rosella Bjornson (1947-) In1973 Transair made her the first

    woman pilot in Canada to behired by an airline. In 1990 shebecame the first female Captainwith Canadian Airlines. Herpregnancy in 1979 created

    another precedent in Canada. In1984, she began discussionswith Transport Canada that ledto the regulations being

    changed to allow a pilot who ispregnant to fly while under herdoctor's supervision.
