Our middle years program matches high standards with differentiated instruction to reflect diverse learners. Classes are built around traditional subjects as well as engineering, design, and inquiry-based research, utilizing primary source material, design thinking, and a variety of complex texts. Through myriad field trips and service projects, students build independ-ence, cognitive ability and confidence. Students graduate prepared for high school with their love of learning intact.
Our preschool (serving 3 and 4-year olds) and kindergarten programs are joyous beginnings to a life-long love of learning. Our play-based approach honors the wonder, interests, and imaginations of our youngest learners, while laying the foundation for future success. Research confirms that our youngest learners develop a solid foundation for future success when they are given an emotionally and physically safe environment, rich with discovery, independence, and social interaction.
Our elementary program emphasizes active learning in which students work independently and collaboratively to apply new skills in novel con-texts. Learners encounter challenges that transform their curiosity into innovation and their wonder into possibilities. They dive deep into topics through meaningful projects and the development of a wide arrayof critical thinking skills. Empowered, capable, and confident, students develop a sense of agency that comes from hard work done well.
“The ideal educational setting is one that individualizes instruction and learning opportunities so that all children can discover and attain their highest potentials.”
[Dr. Judy Willis, Neurologist and Educator]
