CHAK Chun Lam grew up and was educated in Hong Kong. His father who was a commercial landscape painter, nurtured in him a love of oil painting from a young age. As a teenager, the wonder and beauty of science and astronomy fascinated him. He now works in the IT �eld and is married with a son. In his leisure time, he enjoys reading, especially books on science and science �ction. He earned a B. Sc. in Engineering from the Chinese University Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2004 and began his artistic career after he obtained his Diploma of Fine Art from the School of Continuing and Professional Studies in 2014. His work is privately collected in Hong Kong. He enjoys the process of experimenting and discovering new painting techniques, such as pouring and spraying acrylic paint onto wood and aluminium panels. In future he may try plastic panels. He loves experimenting with acrylic paint because of its varying transparency and translucency. He feels that acrylic, is not only a substitute medium for oil or watercolor but is versatile and has a life of its own. Painting is an adventure and the joy of discovery motivates him in this endless pursuit.
翟震霖1980年代出生於香港，自小對科學和天文學產生濃厚的興趣。他從科學的奧妙及科學家的精神上得到靈感和啟發，把億萬年間形成的美麗星雲凝固在畫中，塑造一個微妙的宇宙空間。他在畫作中探索傾倒及噴塗多層塑膠彩的技法。他利用塑膠彩多樣化的顏色和透明度，在畫面追求一種獨特的深度。他的作品被私人收藏家收藏。
