5th Symposium on APPLIED ELECTROMAGNETICS SAEM’2014

SCOPEThe symposium SAEM'14 is aimed at the presentation of research work results, as well as the survey of works in applied electromagnetics area in a broad sense. The symposium is devoted to exchanging ideas, presenting the recent achievements and results. It is providing a wide forum for academics and engineers to discuss all aspect of electromagnetics and applications. Contributions are encouraged from, but not limited to, the themes and topics in the following areas:1. Computational Electromagnetics2. Applied Electromagnetics in Electrical Engineering3. Bioelectromagnetics and Electromagnetic Hazards4. Coupled Problems and Applications5. Optimization and computer aided design6. Electromagnetism in materials

English is the official language of the Symposium.

CONTRIBUTIONSProspective authors are invited to prepare a single-spaced one-column two page digest, including the title, authors and their affiliation, as well as the main content of the paper, results, figures and references. The digest files (both WORD and PDF) should be submitted by e-mail to the SAEM'2014 Secretariat, not later than the respective deadline announced on the conference web page. The format of the digest, the instructions for preparation and a template are available on the symposium web page: www.saem2014@feit.ukim.edu.mk

All papers will be reviewed on the basis of the digest. The Book of Digests will be published in printed form and will contain all the preliminary accepted papers, received by the specified deadline. The authors of the accepted digests will be asked to submit the full manuscript of their contribution by the indicated date on the conference website as the latest. The full papers will have undergone a peer review process by the Programme Committee. All accepted manuscripts will be published in the conference Proceedings in electronic form on USB, and will be delivered in the author's package together with the Book of Digests at the Registration desk. Please note that at least one of the authors should register and pay the conference fee prior to the venue.

In accordance with the tradition of SAEM conferences, a number of selected papers, presented at the conference sessions, will be published in the post-conference issue of Polish journal Przeglad Elektrotechniczny (Electrical Review). The selection will be based on the journal topics and in accordance with its editorial policy.

REGISTRATIONThe regular registration fee is 530 € and covers: author’s package, admission to the sessions, a copy of the Book of Digests, the conference Proceedings published on USB, accommodation (3 nights in a double room of the conference hotel), welcome dinner, 3 lunches, coffee breaks, welcome reception, banquet dinner and social events during the symposium. A number of single rooms, subject to additional payment, are also available. VENUEThe 5th Symposium on Applied Electromagnetics SAEM'2014 will be held on June 8-11 2014 in Skopje, the capital city of the modern Republic of Macedonia. Skopje is the most beautiful and the largest city in Macedonia. It is located on the upper course of the Vardar River on the major North–South Balkan route from Belgrade to Athens. Today Skopje is rapidly developing and continuously changing the appearance.

In the 2,500 years of existence, Macedonian welcoming capital city Skopje has had many different embodiments. All of them – from Roman to Byzantine, Ottoman to Yugoslav – have left permanent traces as is evidenced by varied architecture and a mix of cultures. Yet in addition to its strong historical associations, Skopje is a forward-looking city offering an abundance of modern amenities and attractions. The highest point in the city had been inhabited since 4000 years BC. In the 6th century, there has been built a fortress which still exists and is recently renewed. Stone Bridge is considered as 'the spice' of Skopje, and witnessing the long history of the city, is a symbol of the official city crest. Updated and repaired many times, now it holds the original look.

The conference SAEM'2014 will take place in BEST WESTERN hotel Turist, 08-11 June 2014. The hotel is located on the pedestrian street Macedonia in the heart of the city centre, which provides visitors with beautiful sights, and easy access to museums and cultural monuments.
