fast cut-off coating head ‘Meler’ coating heads allows its use for high- speed intermittent slot applications on a wide range of substrates. Its advanced design is a perfect solution for application control with an excellent pattern repeatability. Fast cut-off coating heads are high robustness and easy installation, use and maintenance devices. They are warmed up by high efficiency heating elements. Temperature control is done by electronic regulator in the melter unit through temperature sensors RTD Pt100 or Ni120 type. Closing system, with a high speed response, provides excellent cut-off application using control modules withe differential piston. To avoid application flaws due to adhesive contaminants these coating heads have high capacity built in filter element for trapping particles that may cause nozzles clogging. Filter can be easily and efficiently replaced as part of periodical maintenance. Pattern and thickness requirements are possible by changing shims inside coating slot nozzle. Shims are available for full and stripe coating to meet specific application needs. Fast cut-off coating heads are perfect for contact applications of thin films of adhesive on a paper, carton or textil substrates used in nonwovens, labelling, envelopes, forms, bags, etc.
