Report on World Pharmacists Day Celebration-2017

As designated by the FIP Council several years ago at the FIP Congress in Istanbul, 25 September

marks the annual World Pharmacists Day. FIP encourages the world's pharmacists to use that day

to organize activities that promote and advocate for the role of the pharmacist in improving health

in every corner of the world. Each year a new theme is developed to showcase the pharmacists in

their positive role on health. “From research to health care: Your pharmacist is at your service”

was the theme of this year’s World Pharmacists Day.

It was successfully celebrated at C. U. Shah College of Pharmacy and Research in presence of a great

personality Dr. Ved Vyas Dwivedi sir, Dr. Girish Goswami sir, Shri R. K. Dave sir and Dr. Binu sir. The

celebration was started with welcoming and greeting the dignitaries on the Dias by Principal of the

college Dr. Nishant Oza. The students had actively participated in the celebration. Students of final

year B. Pharm Miss Urmi, Miss Sneha and Miss Ami has delivered a wonderful speech on the theme

of World Pharmacists Day and felt proud to be a future pharmacist. Dr. Akruti Khodakiya and Mr.

Santosh Kumar Vaidya have shared their views and experience about numerous contributions the

pharmacy profession made to health. Dr. Nishant Oza emphasized on their speech that pharmacists

are the backbone of health care in many different settings. Shri Dave sir and Dr. Binu sir have also

delivered a wonderful speech. Dr. Girish Goswami sir had also shared their different and innovative

views and ideas. The students and teachers were enlightened by Dr. Ved Vyas Dwivedi sir with their

very precious knowledge, ideas and marvelous talk. Dr. Nishant Oza gave vote of thanks to Dr. Ved

Vyas Dwivedi sir and all present over there. At the end of celebration, Dr. Ved Vyas Dwivedi sir and

Dr. Girish Goswami sir congratulate all current pharmacists in college and future pharmacists. The

efforts and dedication of Principal, all staff members and students had made the event a grand

success.
