Abstract: In this paper we propose a collaborative healthcare system implementation.
This system provides a collaborative environment for healthcare system of two or more
than two hospitals, blood bank and pharmaceutical company. This collaboration helps in
emergency case by checking availability details about blood, ICU, Doctors/Surgeon, etc.
Also this system stores the patients medical records electronically.
Introduction:
This project deals with the development of a collaborative health care system, titled as
cHealthcare. The motto of the project is to build a cloud which provides the
collaborative environment. This system integrates more than two hospital management
information system (HMIS), Blood Banks, Pharmaceutical companies, External Doctors,
External ICU etc. And the data are stored into data ware house coming from healthcare,
blood bank etc. Data mining algorithm will be applied on these data to check theemergency services like availability of Blood, ICU and Doctors/Surgeon which are
nearer to hospital in emergency case. System will send message to vacant and nearer
Doctor/surgeon in emergency case. So the case will be handled easily.
Also system is able to place order for a particular medicine to Pharma Company when
the quantity of medicine reduces to the threshold value.
The system also stores the records of medical diagnosis made on any individual patient.
So that, the previous diagnosis made on the patient is available at any time in the same
hospital or in different hospital. This makes the paper less work.
HMIS stores all the information related to hospital such as clinical summary information,
care document, in-patient, out-patient, doctors, nurses, wards, radiology, pathology,
operation theater, ICU, pharmacy etc. And provides the information about these.
Since health care system has huge amount of data, it is difficult to maintain such huge
amount of data and so, it is difficult to applying data mining techniques while keeping it
as distributed. So, to reduce healthcare costs and improve customer service, the
adoption of cloud computing in healthcare is raised.

Reduce health care costs;
Increase administrative efficiencies
Decrease paperwork; and

Conclusion: cHealthcare provides the collaborative environment for hospitals, blood
banks, pharma companies etc. Hence, this provides easiness to maintain the patientmedical records and checking of availability of ICU, Blood and Doctors/Surgeon. Also it
is easier to integrate more hospitals in our system.
