However, the airline officials said they had evidence to prove it was Shaheedani who prevented the plane from landing at the airport. Shaheedani reportedly missed flight from Kabul to Bamyan and then phoned his supporters to block the runway of Bamyan airport and not allow the Kam Air plane to land. The aircraft was forced to return to Kabul and again fly to Bamyan with Shaheedani. However, the Bamyan governor had said the air- port commander, head of 1st police district and six border police were being interrogated over the in- cident. Shaheedani, who skipped previous Wolesi Jirga ses- sions, appeared in today’s session along with Ghu- lam Hussain Nasiri, a lawmaker of central Maidan Wardak province. Nasiri had also missed the same flight. Nasiri said the prevention of plane from landing was a political conspiracy. Boarding the plane was scheduled at 6:45am but Kam Air employees denied giving boarding pass to Shaheedani at 6:15am, Na- siri said. Calling for investigation into the matter by a neural party, Nasiri said Shaheedani had not given the or- der to prevent the plane from landing.
