Sarina SS BYO iPad – App Register

Required Apps Register

Whole School Required Apps are to be downloaded by all students at Sarina SS prior to the start of the school year. Teachers may request additional class apps (the Apps Register will be updated to reflect this), or they may suggest apps for individual students based on specific learning needs.

Required Apps Selection ProcessAt Sarina State School, criteria are used to select required apps for the BYO iPad Program (final approval for app selection is by the Principal or delegate). The 4 levels of required apps at Sarina SS are:

Whole school (all classes at Sarina SS use these apps)

Year level (all classes in a year level use these apps)

Class specific (all students in a class use these apps)

Individual student specific (negotiated between the teacher and parent based on individual needs).

An apps audit will occur at the end of each year to finalise required apps for the following year. Sarina SS will endeavour to monitor apps for changes to ensure they continue to comply with our app selection process.

While all Internet traffic at Sarina SS is filtered and monitored, parents are encouraged to monitor their child’s Internet use outside of school.

Parents are welcome to email any questions or concerns to their classroom teachers or school administration.
