Machu Picchu was supposively a place that the Inca civilizations leaders held religious affairs. The site was constructed during the height of the Inca empire. It is located in a tropical rainforest and on the mountain side of the Andes.

The Sacred Valley is a valley that was formed by the Urubamba River. It was part of the Inca empire and it had a lot to do with their culture. It is located in the Andes of Peru by Machu Picchu.

Lima- The capital as well as the largest city in Peru. It has a population of 9 million and there are many things that you can do throughout the city. There are merchants in the streets and some religious buildings that are beautiful.

Cusco- A city in southeastern Peru and it is the capital of the Cusco Region as well as the Cuzco Province. It was the site of the capital of the Inca Empire. It is a major tourist attraction and receives around 2 million visitors a year.

The red is the flag represents the blood that was spilled in Peru’s fight for independence. The white stripes represent peace and bravery. There are also some flags with The National Coat of Arms but that is not the national flag that is accepted.

You can hike through a trail to reach the ruins of the Inca civilization, go take tour and just look at religious buildings, walk around cities and see what the vendors there have, talk to people about their culture,and go on tours of the buildings and other things you would like to see.

The climate on the coast is subtropical and has very little rainfall. On the other hand the Andes mountains have a fairly cold climate that has wet summers and dry winters. The climate on the coast ranges from 46.4 degrees fahrenheit and 84.2 degrees fahrenheit. and the climate on the Andes has an average temperature of 64 degrees fahrenheit.

The Peruvian nuevo sol is the currency from Peru. It is divided in 100 cents like the U.S and they use coins just like the U.S does as well.One dollar in the United States would get you 2.89 PEN.

In the country of Peru there are 55 species of corn grew. There are all different colors, almost any color you can think of, like purple, yellow, black and white. Purple corn is used the most in Peru, it is used in things like chicha morada which is a drink that people in Peru make and it is also used in mazamorra which is a type of pudding.

Peru has many different things in it’s landscape. The most common one that everyone knows about is the Andes Mountains. Peru also has many Inca civilization ruins and other things that have to do with the Inca. 66 percent of Peru’s landscape is forest and other woodlands.
