Italian Values
In Italy family means a lot and they give a lot of influence off to help younger ones.
The family also can provide you with emotional and financial support.
Italian Beliefs
Appearance matters a lot to Italy. When you are walking around Italy if you
do not have nice clothes on that means they would consider you as a lower class because they judge a lot in Italy.
Italians Norms
The primary religion is Roman-Catholic. There are more Catholic churches per
capita in Italy then any other country. Men should wear dark colored business
clothes.
The Italian Economy
Italy is the third largest economy in the euro-zone.
The unemployment rate in 2011 was 8.2%.
They are still trying to recover from the recession they are in.
History in Italy
Italy was united in 1861. Origins of Italian history can date back
to the 9th century B.C. In prehistoric times the Italian peninsula
was not shaped like it appears now.
Conflict
Soveriegn debt crisis is the only thing that I can find.
What I like about Italy
I like that there is beautiful sceneries, great food, and the nice cars that are made there.
What I don’t like about Italy I do not like how they judge a lot and
base you off of what you wear. I just think you could wear anything and be a millionaire and no one knows it.
Would I live in Italy Yes I would love to because the experience
would be phenomenal getting to live in Europe and getting to see everything, but the bad part is I would miss my family and the good old U.S.A.
Do I prefer my culture or Italy I prefer mine just because I have been
accustomed to the way I live now and I would feel out of place if I were to change up that quick because of the different language and the way they do things because I do not know how they do things compared to how I do things.
France’s Location Bordering the Bay of
Biscay and the English Channel, as well as the Mediterranean Sea.
Coordinates on the map- 46 00 N, 2 00 E.
France’s Capital The Capital of

France’s Flag The official flag
colors for France is in order (Blue, White, and Red).
France’s Population 65,312,249 is how

Both of these are from the Metropolitan France and the five overseas regions.
France’s Religions Roman Catholic
83%-88% Protestant 2% Jewish 1% Muslim 5%-10% Unaffiliated 4% Some of their
overseas regions have some Hindu, Buddhist, and Pagan.
France’s Subculture They had a
subculture during WWII it was called “Zazou.”
This was young Frenchmen expressing their individuality and wearing big clothing and dancing to swing jazz and bebop.
France’s Values, Norms, Beliefs
Criticism- they receive a lot so they are used to coping with it unlike Americans.
Liberty- Having freedom is very humble in France.
Privacy-The French do not like to goof off when they are doing their work and do not act like some normal American boss’s there time is precious.
France’s History
The word “France” comes from the Franks and has three Historical meanings.
They are areas around Paris, Ile de France region, and the kingdom of France.
France Conflict
They are in a territory dispute with Madagascar over various locations.
There is also an illicit drug problem with drug trafficing.
What I found interesting in France
I found out that they take criticism in classrooms and the teacher tells everybody's grades out loud and tells them how bad they stink at a certain subject.
They do not like to be bothered when it comes to work time they like a lot of privacy.
Would I like to live in France Personally I would not like to live there if
I did I wouldn’t eat unless I traveled to Italy because I do not like a lot of French type foods. I mean if I could eat in America and live there for the wonderful places then yes in a heart beat.
Do I prefer my own culture I prefer my culture just because I have
been here for 18 years and I would feel out of place in any other country because they act different and do different things in situations I would do something differently.
