The serials were 21646/21741 and 60036/60209. The SBW-5 version was similar to the SBW-3 and SB2C-5 and 86 were built against a contract which originally covered the SBW-1B. The serials were 60210/60295 whilst 60296/60459 and 21232 were cancelled. Refer also to A-25, SB2C, SBF

As US Navy gliders were delayed, 13 CG-4As were transferred from the USAAF to the US Navy as LRW-1 and with serials 37639/37648, 44319 and 69990/69991. Some of these were used in the development of radio controlled glider bombs (Glomb). Egventually 10 were returned to the USAAF on 5 August 1943. In addition CG-4As with USAAF serials 42-25784 and 42-25785 were tested by the US Navy in March 1943 to test the feasibility of long distance towing. It was envisaged that ultimately 575 could have been transferred. Refer also to CG-4

With the designation NW standing for Navy-Wright, one NW-1, carrying serial A6544, was built as a racer for the 1922 races season. It flew for the first time on in December 1922 and was converted to NW-2 in 1923. The designation NW-2 applied to a racer with serial A6543 used for the 1923 Schneider Trophy although aircraft A6544 has also been depicted as a biplane with floats used in 1923. It flew for the first time on 10 July 1922 and crashed on 14 October 1922. Some reference sources suggest that A6543 was a NW-1 and it is likely that the aircraft identifications have been switched.

Wright imported one Dornier H Falke all metal aircraft and entered it in the 1923 US Navy fighter competition as WP-1 and with serial A6748. It has been suggested in some reference sources that the aircraft was transferred to the USAAS with serial 64219 but this serial cannot be confirmed.
