by Amanda Acton These mittens are inspired by those worn by “Bella” (Kristen Stewart) in the movie, Twilight. The mittens are extra long and knit with bulky yarn, so they are super cozy! They’re also a simple, quick knit with nothing more complicated than a basic cable or decrease. Size: S-M (L) Finished is 14” long, and S-M fits a medium hand (6-3/4” from heel of hand to tip of fingers, 7-1/4” around) with room to spare. Materials: Yarn: Cascade 109 LE (109 yards), 2 skeins (you’ll need all of these skeins, so be prepared to frog a swatch if you make one) Needles: Size 9 circulars (for magic loop) or DPN; Size 10 circulars or DPNs (optional) Key: Front Needle/Back Needle C6F: Slip three stitches to cable needle and hold to front of work, k 3 from left needle, k 3 from cable needle C6B: Slip three stitches to cable needle and hold to back of work, k 3 from left needle, k 3 from cable needle SSK: slip stitch as if to knit, slip stitch as if to purl, insert left needle into the front of the stitches and wrap yarn around right needle as if to knit, pull yarn through. These mittens are inspired by those worn by “Bella” (Kristen Stewart) in the movie, Twilight. The mittens are extra long and knit with bulky yarn, so they are super cozy! They’re also a simple, quick knit with nothing more complicated than a basic cable or decrease.

Size: S-M (L) Finished is 14” long, and S-M fits a medium hand (6-3/4” from heel of hand to tip of fingers, 7-1/4” around) with room to spare.
