HACK HARVARD‟19, USA
Innovative App and Solutions Fetches SKCETians Top Spot in USA Contest-2019
CSE and CSBS team students have successfully presented their projects in the final pitch
round of HACKHARVARD.The electrifying news splashed on air from HARVARD
UNIVERSITY as our students from SKCET have bagged laurels. Amidst a strong technical
warfare, among the whole lot of 300 submissions, the 3 projects of our students have been
shortlisted under the top 82 projects in the first round.
WINNING TITLES
The project titled, “Para Iris - Smart Interaction system for paralyzed patients” has
been declared as „one among the 7 best projects‟ under the category of “Most Useless
Hack” - Chief category of finalists. (The trivial aspects of our day-to-day livelihood which
marks the highest peril – useless hack).
The project titled “MEDOCS- An EI based health care technology” has been declared
as „One among the 11 best projects‟ under the category of “Best UI/UX”.
The project titled, “One click digital payment” has been declared as „One among the
44 best projects‟ under the category of “Best Social Impact Hack”.
They were showered with Goodies and Swags as a token of appreciation on their
endearing participation.

Our students were appreciated by the eminent mentors from ENVEL, GOOGLE,
MICROSOFT, FACEBOOK and Professors from HARVARD University. Their projects were
topnotch hits and hence showcased In-house to the HARVARD participant students. The
suggestions from the mentors were well taken and the final upload of our students‟ projects
on DEVPOST was crucially evaluated by the Jury.

MHRD, GoI has selected our Institution under Swachhta Action Plan (SAP) 2019 for
promoting Swachhta in our community as recognition for the fervent contributions towards
the Swachh Campus initiatives. In the task of fulfilling this agenda, Principal Madam
Dr. J. Janet along with Dr. A.Albert Raj, Dean Academics convened a meeting with
Mr. B.S.C. Naveen Kumar, Representative of MGNCRE – MHRD on 30th September 2019
to discuss the forthcoming proceedings.

SKCET SWACHHTA ACTION PLAN RALLY
An awareness rally on “Open Defecation Free” was organized by SAP team of SKCET to
create responsiveness on cleanliness among the people of Arumugakoundanoor and Perur
Chettipalayam, the two adopted villages by our college for comprehensive sanitation
management and achievement of 100% sanitation. The rally marked its start at SKCET with
the waving of flag by our beloved Principal Madam in the presence of Dean Dr. Albert Raj,
NSS Programme Officers and various Head of the Departments. The students and staff
members zealously participated in the march by carrying placards displaying sensitizing
messages on the ill effects of open defecation. The team also insisted to imbibe such
sanitations in their daily practices. The mission includes proper toilet etiquettes and personal
hygiene.

CSBS STUDENT PARTICIPATION – TELANGANA POLICE
HACKATHON
Bhavik Kumar N, Nishit M, Imron Khan S and Surendar Raj from II CSE C (TCS) have
added an accolade by being shortlisted and successfully participating in the Hackathon
conducted by the Telangana police – Cyberabad Security Council, titled “Road Safety and
Traffic Management Hackathon” on 19th and 20th of October 2019 at Hyderabad. The
event is hosted by Cyberabad Police, SCSC, Cyberabad Traffic Police and Idea labs.
They were awarded with certificates by Cyberabad Traffic DCP Mr. Vijay Kumar,
Hyderabad. They received special appreciation by the Police officials of Hyderabad for
being one among the chosen 8 student participants among the 35 shortlisted teams
comprising of Start-ups programmers and Corporate professionals.
