Help me review! • Look for caterpillars and butterflies as you spend time outdoors. Name the colors on the wings of the butterflies you see. Name the color of the caterpillars, too. • Your child may have learned that butterflies have tongues that are like tiny straws. They use them to drink their food! Invite your child to drink her beverage through a straw for a meal or snack. Explain that butterflies get their food from flowers. • Visit with your child about how pioneers and cowboys ate food that was easy to preserve and prepare as they traveled. Then, enjoy a cowpoke meal or snack. Suggestions include baked beans, barbecue beef sandwiches, dried fruit, jerky, biscuits and honey, or corn bread and maple syrup. • Sit outside together on a dark night and enjoy the starry sky. Can anyone find a satellite? Ask your child to point out different shapes he sees in the stars. Ingredients: 2 cups chow mein noodles 1 1/3 cups peanut butter chips

Melt the chips in a microwave, being careful not to overheat them. Stir well and add the chow mein noodles. Mix until well coated and drop by small spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let cool until the chips set. Munch on these little haystacks for a western snack!PASTE OFA TAG HERE
