T h e B u t o h p r o j e c t i s associated with the critical conception of Japanese Art on t h e h u m a n : b o d y -consciousness and the world.

Project The project is conceived as a m in i -su i te fo r Acous t i c instruments, Live Electronics, V i d e o _ M a p p i n g a n d Saxophones. The project involves the use of body gesture through the Japanese Performing Arts & I m p r o v i s a t i o n a n d Expressionist theater.

One main element of Butoh – and also in classes – is metamorphosis into other forms of existance.

Through that the performers are coming into contact with the rhy thms o f na tu re : Breathing in and out. Coming into being and vanishing.

Death and rebirth. Movement and stillness. The polarities of life can be found within oneself.
