Used Cars New Cars

The car that will best suit me is the 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee because it is something I can rely on driving 900 miles one way. My insurance will be $3400/year though GEICO. I will have the money from working and college funds that will not be used.

Am I Ready to Own a Car?I believe I am ready to own a car for the following reasons:

I am responsible and by the time I am out for college I will have enough “real world” experience.

I will be a full time student who will be working

I will have saved enough money in 2 or 3 years to purchase a car that can safely drive me across the country.

I do not and will not have other expenses at this time to pay for, this will be my only bill along with insurance.

Ways To Get Ready

In order to prepare for purchasing my first car, I need to take the following steps:

Create a savings account

Find and save money from graduation and other areas that have accumulated over my childhood.

Work as much as possible
