Business analytics is growing rapidly. The global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company projects a shortfall in big data professionals, between 140,000–190,000, by 2018. The University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business can prepare you for this industry’s explosive growth.
“The Daniels program provides real-world experiential learning in the latest tools and techniques of business analytics that helped me hit the ground running at my company. Students are immersed in real-world problems where the answers are not always immediate and clear, just like in the real business world.”
— Joel Onditi, Master of Science in
Business Analytics 2010

What You Need to Know
Where They Work Now
Expect More. Do More. Go Further.
Capstone Course: If you want to work in the real world, you have to prepare for the real world. The capstone begins early in the program to lay the groundwork, set the scope and develop a work plan. Throughout the program students bring classroom lessons to life through a client-based capstone project that culminates at the end of the program.
A STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Degree: The MSBA is a STEM degree according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The DHS expanded list includes designated degrees that qualify for up to 17 months Optional Practical Training (OPT) Extension for F-1 Nonimmigrant Students.
Mentorship Program: We want you to go places, so we connect each of our students with a Personal Board of Advisors (PBOA). Your PBOA includes a faculty member, career coach, current student and community member in the field who all guide you along the way to achieving a successful career.
Leveraging Analytics Enterprises: Through our partnerships with IBM/SPSS, Tableau, Microsoft and other leading technology vendors, Daniels is able to provide the most relevant tools in analytics in our classrooms. This gives our students the edge in solving complex, statistical problems and staying ahead of the curve.
Big Data. Big Business.
