System that is used by the staff at the counter currently is a very obsolete system and just used to sell the bus ticket at the counter. Customer has to go to the counter to buy bus ticket or ask for bus schedule. Again, customers need to pay cash when they buy the bus ticket. Furthermore, it uses a lot of papers and data is lost because no backup provided for the data. Besides that, customers are also not allowed to buy bus ticket through telephone or online. Using our Bus Ticket Management System customer can buy their tickets over the Internet, 24 hours a day. e bus ticket can't be lost, stolen or leſt behind. In addition, the online system lets the customers check the availability of the bus ticket before they buy bus ticket. Furthermore, customers can buy their tickets without facing any disturbance in their regu- lar life. Introduction e scope of the online bus ticket reservation system is: A person will be able to- 1. Register as new member to secure their reservation and transactions. 2. Provide access to registered members for the reservation facility. 3. Customers can search from various option of vehicles. 4. Enables customers to make advanced reservations. 5. Finalize/Cancel the reserved tickets any time before jouney. 6. Choose the seats which are available for a certain class. 7. Give details about the credit card/online payment facilities. 8. Provide detailed information about sold tickets to the bus owners. 9. Evaluate estimated weekly profit. 10. Keep track of all running buses current location. Scope A soſtware process model is an abstract representation of a prcess. We will use WATER- FALL MODEL in our soſtware because: a) Very simple to understand. b) Each phase of the total process can be done separately, no overlapping in the phases. at's why we don't have to face complexity in work. c) Good opportunity for the inexperienced developers & for the beginners as it provides them the basic structure. d) Each & every requirement is stable. ere are no frequent changes in requiments. e) No management problem, management is very easy.
