SIGNING UP FOR SUNDAY MASS
If you have access to a computer (or even from your cell phone), please register for whichever weekend
Mass you prefer to attend. Should there be a situation of a parishioner or one of the clergy contracting COVID‐19, we must be able to contact whoever was present for that particular Mass. When you register on our parish website, Deacon Bob keeps a record of all registrants for each Mass. If you cannot register online, please call the parish office before noon on Fridays, and the secretary will take the required information. This effort is significant and complies with recent directives from the diocese in collaboration with county health departments. Thank you for your cooperation.

BOXED ENVELOPES We will soon be in the process of preparing our year 2021 boxed envelopes for registered parishioners. You must be registered to receive envelopes. If you did not use your
2020 envelopes a minimum of 10 times during the past year, envelopes would not be reissued to you. Besides assisting with your parish's regular financial support, your usage of envelopes also helps record your Mass attendance. This, in turn, allows the pastor better verify your commitment to the parish when requesting sponsorship certificates. Participation in the envelope system is also necessary for the parish office to issue statements for IRS purposes. As a reminder, loose cash offerings at Mass cannot be traced to any individual and, therefore, not considered for an end of year statement of charitable contribution. We ALWAYS suggest using your offering envelopes. Alternatively, there are blank envelopes available in the church vestibule, where you can fill in your name so your donation can be correctly posted to your account. If you are not receiving envelopes or have any questions, please contact the parish office at 732‐566‐9334 or email us at [email protected]. Thank you.
HELP A MOTHER CHOOSE LIFE!
From the Life Choices Resource Center If you have not returned your baby bottle with a contribution to the pro‐life collection, you may do so now that Mass's public celebration has resumed. We thank
everyone who has thus far participated in the Baby Bottle Campaign for your generosity. Your gift will make a difference in the life of a mother and child! www.LifeChoicesRC.com.
BAPTISM
We wish to welcome into God's family and the parish community of Most Holy Redeemer the following child baptized here on September 19th.
STEVIE ISLA D’AURIA Daughter of Steven and Jessica
We pray that her parents will be examples of faith to inspire her to follow the Lord. As their family in faith, we also accept the responsibility to help these parents in their duty to bring up their child in the practice of the Faith by our prayers and example.
FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
Our parish bids farewell to long‐time parishioner Tom Caporaso. Tom has served as an usher for many years and has been involved
in various parish projects during his time with us. The memorial pavers in the outdoor prayer garden were not only Tom’s suggestion, but he so generously took it upon himself to oversee the maintenance of the pavers and their installation over the last eight to nine years. We wish him and his wife, Amy, all the best. My thanks to Nick Sacco for being so kind to step up to the plate and take over the memorial pavers in Tom's place. The pavers have become a meaningful part of parish life and help make the outdoor prayer garden that much more special.
God Bless, Father Carina

PRAYER IN TIME OF OUR COMMON NEED In response to the spread of COVID – 19
within our communities Diocese of Metuchen, New Jersey
Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of God
and of the people of Metuchen you always shine on our path as a sign of salvation and hope.
We rely on you, Health of the Sick, you who, at the cross, united with Jesus' pain,
keeping steadfast your faith You, Salvation of God's people,
you know what we need and we are sure that you will provide for us,
as at Cana of Galilee, after the adversity of these days, may joy and celebration return. Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform to the will of the Father and to do what Jesus tells us,
who has taken our suffering upon Himself and has burdened Himself with our sorrows
to lead us through the cross, to the joy of resurrection. Amen.
Under your protection, Holy Mother of God, Our Lady of Guadalupe, we seek refuge,
hear our prayer and intercede for us to the Father so that we may be free from every danger,
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
