WelcomeWhile Father Brennan recovers from hernia surgery, please extend your usual gracious welcome to the retired priests who provide your pastoral care. Father Brennan hopes to return to your service in a couple of weeks.

Thank you to all who participated in the liturgies of Holy Week and Easter with deep sincerity and prayerful reverence. Thank you especially to our dedicated sacristans, music ministry, liturgical ministers, servers, ushers and volunteers. A special

thank you to Deacon Greg, the Knights of Columbus, Michael Taylor and Theresa McKay.

Holy Water The ancient and venerable custom of taking Holy Easter water is encouraged and urged. Please remove any Holy Water more than a year old by pouring it into a plant or preferably the earth (not into the sink drain). You are invited to bring a small container to take the new Holy Easter water to your home for use in sickness, danger, temptation or sorrow.

On Sunday, April 17 at 1:00pm in our Parish Hall, you are invited to attend a general meeting. At this time you will hear more about this initiative and have an opportunity to join one of the sub-committees preparing to receive the Syrian family. Those wishing to make a financial contribution may do so through our regular collection. Please make cheques payable to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and clearly mark them Refugee Initiative. To those who have already generously donated, we are truly grateful. Contact Fr. Brennan or Bronek Korczynski regarding questions.

Our Lady of Lourdes 50th Anniversary In order to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of our Parish, we invite all parishioners to take part in our new PARISH DIRECTORY. INTERCESSORY PRAYER LINE 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARYOn Easter Sunday 2006 we began an Intercessory Prayer Line in our parish. This year we celebrate our 10th anniversary. Since then we have received over a 1000 requests and those asking for prayers have been comforted and strengthened through this ministry. Many times in our lives we need to have others help us carry our burdens and the members of the Prayer Line are privileged and bless-ed to do this. You can be assured that they will respect your privacy and confi-dentiality and that they will honour your requests with trust and dignity. Inter-cessory prayers for the Prayer Line are offered at each Mass. This supports all of us and brings us together as a praying community.

There is a prayer box at the entrance of the church where you can place your re-quests or you can call the contact person listed in the bulletin each week. If you would like to be part of this important ministry or if you have any questions you can call the rectory or Shirley Legris @ 613-545-0493 (CWL co-ordinator).

Luke 11:9-10 “Ask and it shall be given to you; search and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
