    Remembering the Saints

When Paul wrote to the church in Rome, he addressed his letterTo all Gods beloved who are called to be saints (Romans 1:7,

NRSV). Paul regarded his fellow believers as people who haveresponded to the good news of Christ by choosing to follow andserve God.

The New Testament emphasizes that Christians are Gods beloved special people set apart to receive his grace and to be his

witnesses. All people whose minds and hearts are devoted to God are called to be saints.

About 700 years after the church began, leaders designated November 1 as All Saints Day tohonor people whose lives reflect Christ dwelling within them. Because of what God has donefor us, all Christians can wear the label of saint.

    In-Home Care Kits

The BGR In-Home Care Kit is a compilation of medical and hygienesupplies. Items in this kit will make the care-givers tasks mucheasier, but more importantly, will ease the suffering of the ones

affected by HIV/AIDS. The WMU, along with your help, plan to put together a bucket(s) for BGR.

The bulletin board will have tags with items listed that are needed for a bucket of HELP.Pick a tag and purchase the item(s). Tags will be posted after the 30th of October.

Please this is very important.... NO SUBSTITUTIONS ARE ALLOWED. Purchase exactly what is on the tag. The bucket items have been specifically picked out for thecare and use of the HIV/AIDS person and to fit into the bucket.

By putting together at least one kit, we will help provide a physical and spiritual touch to those insub-Saharan Africa who are dying from AIDS and other illnesses. Our local partners in Africa willdistribute the buckets in a way that gives dignity and hope to each family receiving a kit.

Listen to my cry for help, for I am brought very low. Rescue me from my pursuers, for they are too strong for me. Psalm 147:7
