Community Sparks• One contact per community arising from
the OS forum - 8 communities• ‘Fanned’ through meetings, phone calls
and information – time consuming because cultivating relationships is critical to success!
• First meeting was with Coalition leadership
• Healthy Community Scan as proposed as a successful engagement tool – strengths base

• $1500 micro grants to complete the scan
• Recruited an IH employee for each group
• Monthly calls with IH Healthy Community Local Liaisons (HCLLs)

IH Healthy Community Local LiaisonHCLLs represent IH interests and provide practical support - through participation along with other community members - to begin work to create a healthy community action plan. Groups will be comprised of local government and community stakeholders.
