About bS&S MAgAzine

Building Strategies & Sustainability will present and explore issues of building lifecycle management, showcasing market successes, acknowledging innovation and leadership, and providing you the with a broad perspective to make informed decisions about the business of constructing and managing sustainable buildings.

Buildings have a tremendous impact on our national environmental footprint. It is estimated that in the next 25 years, commercial space will double in Canada. This has far-reaching implications for today’s building environment. Managing and optimizing a real estate portfolio may be one of the greatest challenges faced by asset and facility managers going forward. Financial risk related to carbon policy, competitiveness and marketability are among the dimensions of these challenges as new codes and standards raise the performance of new building stock.

When beginning a new construction project or retrofit, strategic management of resources including energy is an important operational activity but just one ingredient of the building lifecycle. We will continue to devote editorial pages to this important area, but will also include every layer and consideration in the construction process. The landscape of new construction and retrofits is changing, and you can expect the editorial of Building Strategies and Sustainability to stay ahead of the curve and keep you fully informed on what is not only important today, but also what tomorrow will bring.

All facets within the construction industry are fundamentally connected, from the supply chain to the equipment manufacturers, to service providers, to facility developers and managers. It is our mandate to keep you, the industry professional, completely up to date in this rapidly evolving industry.

Sustainability is the manifestation of this new global market reality.

ReAdeRShip of building StRAtegieS & SuStAinAbility:

Our readership includes some 14,000 Ontario-based decision makers in the construction and real estate market place. Including key decision makers who are directly involved with the development and implementation of resource management strategies that contribute to sustainable buildings.

SpeciAl SuppleMent oppoRtunitieS:

In each issue of Building Strategies & Sustainability we endeavor to profile a corporation/municipality who has gone above and beyond to not only reduce their own carbon footprint, but also by default, that of the collective industry.

These profiles can take on variety of shapes and sizes, but in each case the foundation is to detail specific sustainable projects; weather they be new construction or retrofit. The goal is shine a light on the possibilities, and build a clear line of site for readers as to the path they can embark for their own portfolio of buildings.

The profiled company will also be able to showcase their people, the dedicated employee’s and executives who developed and executed these projects. This allows us to show our readers the “before and after” senario’s, the issue’s these corporations were facing, and how they specifically dealt with them.

We allow the suppliers, and professional contributors, to showcase their products and services. As an industry we know that without this group of people, and their constant innovation, projects like these are simply not possible.

If your company/municipality is interested in discussing this further please feel free to contact us directly.

E-News

eneWS

BS&S ENewsletters are blasted out to our full database twice per month. Our ENews is unique in that your advertising impressions do not end with the blast itself. Your Tower ad will actually follow the ENews story back to a landing page on our website, and will remain there for one month. So you can immediately double the number of impressions with this format, and also receive multiple impressions from our monthly website traffic.

V-Reports

vRepoRt

The Video format itself is also very unique to the industry. Each month we bring topics of discussion to the leaders of our industry, and ask them to comment. Each video report will have two different personalities/perspectives on the subject at hand. We blast these Video Reports out to our full database, and like the ENews your advertisement follows the VReport back to our website & remains with this specific report for one full year. This format gives your advertisement a much longer shelf life, and more impressions then any other Eblast product in our industry.
