Barge Traffic System
1. General changes of the user interface
The application ‘Barge Traffic System’ – BTS – was rebuilt.
All functionalities of the former version are still available, but the look and feel is changed
substantially. Therefore please have a close look to this document, which will help you to find
your way in the new application.
1.1. Tabs
The former version of BTS was an inline multiple tab application [1].
The current HTML5 version uses the default browser tab options. So if you want to use multiple
tabs, you just have to open an extra browser tab.

1.2. Detail screens
You are used to see detail screens on the bottom side of the screen [1]. Now detail screens are
shown on the right part of the screen [2].
1.3. Possible actions on selected records
The specific action icons on the top side of the screen [1] are now integrated on record level. The
different options are listed on a drop down screen [3], which opens by pushing on the 3 dots [2].

Sometimes, opening a detail screen is also possible by pushing on the attribute shown in
bold. For example in the registers menu of the terminal operator, the name of the
terminal is shown in bold [4]. Then you can open the detail screen of the terminal by
clicking on the name.
If you have the proper rights to edit the data, a pen icon appears on the top of the detail screen
[5].

TIP
The information you get on the detail screen depends on the attribute you selected: From the
list of planning requests, you can enter the detail screen of the planning request by clicking on
the call id, or the details of the barge, by clicking on the barge name.
Example:
Clicking on Call id opens detail screen of planning request
Clicking on barge name opens detail screen of barge

1.4. Filtering your result list
In the new version filtering also is a valid option to organize your result list.
In the former version the search option was on the top side of the screen [1].
To filter your result list in the new system, you have to select the filter-icon on the
right upper side of the screen [2].
A filter screen opens with all possible filter parameters to narrow your result list [3].

2. Application and users management
As already communicated on the APCS website the application and users management is now a

3. Adding a new voyage schedule (for barge operators only)
The wizard you have to pass through to enter a new voyage schedule is slightly changed. In the
former version you first had to select barge and terminal(s) at the same time [1]. In the next step
you had to enter the details of the planning requests [2] and finally the sequence of arrival.
In the new version the selection of the terminals and the details of the planning requests,
including the possible sequences of arrival, are all brought together in step 2.
