WARRANTY CONDITIONS

The manufacturer Pamba warrants to the purchase of

each Bedside Panel System that it is free from all defects

in material and workmanship. The company will repair or

replace components, which prove to suffer from

manufacturing defects within a period of 12 months from

the date of purchase. If required, the cost of carrying theIntelligent Bedside Panel System to Pamba service

center/Marketing office shall be borne by the purchaser.

This warranty does not cover any part of the Intelligent

Bedside Panel System, which has been subjected to

misuse, neglect accident or improper installation. Further

this warranty does not cover any Bedside Panel System,

which may have been tampered with, altered or serviced

by un-authorized agencies. This warranty does not cover

accessories, if any, supplied with the Bedside Panel

System. Pamba Electronic Systems reserves the right to

have the in-warranty service rendered by authorized

Pamba service center.

Executive Summary

This manual is compiled to help the user to get familiar

with this product, which is installed at HOTEL CEEBROSE,

Chennai. This document also provides details like

recommendations for safety, operating instructions and

capabilities of this system.

Overview

Bedside Panel System is a Microcontroller based room

management system. The supplied revision of the product

consists of panels based on feather touch switches and is

capable of controlling all electrical appliances inside guest

rooms. Infrared key tag holder, corridor panels, RF remoteand bathroom switch panel, door chime, temperature

sensor and main controller are also supplied along with

the system.

The colour scheme of the panel, switches and the layouts

of the switches are as per the design furnished by you.The integrated clock in the bedside controller panel is

capable of displaying the set temperature of the room

(temperature set mode). Room service controls like

Laundry and Clean my room Do not disturb, a separate

master control switches are integrated to the bedside

controller panel.

Major Components

Every room control system consists of these units

The Bedside panel that receives and sends

commands.

A Master controller that directs the communication

traffic

The peripherals that carry out your commands.

Safety Notice

This section is dedicated to educate the user about

the hazards that this product can cause if misused. To

ensure the safety of the operator please observe the

following rules.

Do not keep the system near water source or

heat source.

Handle the switches with care.

Do not use if found broken or damaged. Use dry hands.

Slots and openings in the casing are provided

for ventilation and to ensure reliable

operation of the system and to protect it from

over heating. For the same reason these

openings must not be blocked or covered.

Take care that no objects are dropped or

pushed through ventilator slots.

Do not reverse the polarity of the supply to

the system.

Do not short-circuit the power or

communication cables of the system. Avoid opening the system, no user

serviceable parts inside.

All potential users of the system should be

given thorough training about the system.

The Equipment and its supporting units

should be kept clean using a dry cloth.

Please take notice that the manufacturer of this

equipment does not offer any warranty against

malfunction due to inappropriate installation or

handling or direct or indirect damages.

Please take notice that the manufacturer will bear

no responsibility for direct of indirect damages

caused by the use of this product or its

malfunction.

Product Specification

Key tag holder

The key tag when inserted in to the key tag holder will

wake up the room. The holder is provided with different

key tags for guests and staff. The Key tag holder is placed

inside the room near the entrance. When a valid tag is

inserted in the holder, Insert Key Tag indication will be

switched off and customer specific functions will be

activated. The Microcontroller uses different tags to

identify guests and staff.

a) Infra red Key tag holder

Key tag holder is provided with an electronic circuit,

which contains infrared LEDs and photo diodes. These

LEDs together with holes provided in the key tags are

used to identify the guest and staff.

b) Key tag

The tag used to open the door lock can also be used

to activate the energy saver.

Bed Side Panel

The Bedside controller Panel is smooth feather touch panelkept near the bedside for the convenience of the

occupants. This panel will have all the necessary picture

based indications and switches as specified by the

customer.

If the guest needs privacy he/she can activate the Do Not

Disturb switch. This will switch ON an LED indicator in the

bedroom panel and the corridor panel. When the Guest is

inside and Do Not Disturb (DND) is active, the bell switch

will be disabled. The Master switch is used to switch

ON/OFF the lights in the room. The Clean my Room switch

is used to call the hotel staff for cleaning the room. This

panel is connected to the main system using CAT5 cablethrough RJ45 jack.

System Controller Unit

This is the brain of the entire system, which is kept

concealed is accessible through the trap door in the

ceiling. All electrical appliances and panels, which are

controlled using this system, are connected to this unit.

Corridor Panel

The corridor panel will have all the necessary indications

and switches as specified by the customer. The indications

provided in this revision are

1) Do Not Disturb (red)

2) Bell Switch

3) Laundry (yellow)

4) Clean my Room (green)

The indications displayed on the panel are switched ON

according to the respective switch press. If the Do Not

Disturb function is active, the bell switch will be disabled

and the bell wont ring.

Bathroom Panel

This panel is based on feather touch switch technology

and is used to control the bathroom light.

Main features of the system

Feather touch switch panels.

Total privacy to guest

AC will be off if window or bath room door is open.

Key tag holder automatically switches ON all lights

(except night lamp and bathroom lamp) when key

(guest or staff) is inserted in the holder.

All lights and the appliances can be controlled from

one locations using control panels

Bathroom switch (separate panel) can be operated

independently in master mode. When 'master'

switch is 'ON' all lamps will be switched off (except

night lamp and bed lamp).

All the switches ON the panel can switch OFF

(reset) the 'Master' switch. On resetting the

'Master' switch, Rack lamp and Bed lamp will be

switched ON.

Fine control of room temperature- 18C to 28C

in1C step.

When Eco Switch is pressed the room temperature

will be maintained at 240C, and temperature

up/down switch will not function.

When key tag is taken out, immediately

uncontrolled lights will be switched OFF and all

controlled lights will switch OFF after a 20 sec

delay. The AC unit will be switched to low speed

mode and a 24C room temperature will be

maintained.

When the key tag is inserted, FCU speed will be set

to 'Medium' condition and the temperature will be

set to 22C.

In bypass mode vestibule, table, window and

bathroom switch will be switched ON and FCU will

be kept in the low speed.

Do not disturb signal will be deactivated if a service

call is initiated. This signal will not be activated if

service calls are active.

If Do not disturb mode is set and if somebody

presses the Bell switch in the corridor panel, the

DO NOT DISTURB indication will blink.

Service calls and DO NOT DISTURB are indicated in

the corridor panel.

How to operate Deity front-end software

STEP.1

Double click on "deity" icon, system will show a

logo of pamba then a password authorization form. Select"user" and enter the password.

STEP.2

System will show "deity front end software"

select "system" from menu and click on "connect". this will

show the "com" port through which your machine is

connected to rooms.

If it shows "could not open com port" again

click on "system" ----> "settings" and select the correct

"com" port and click "ok". Repeat step2.

STEP.3

If the "com" port selected is valid it will show room

interface form.

Click on "start" button. Then your machine starts

updating the room status. Then click " ok" button and to

cancel this click "cancel" button.

STEP4

if you have done the above steps your system will

start updating the room status.

The following menus help to view room status

View---->overview

Shows complete room status.

View---->status of room

Shows individual room status.

View--->temperature

Shows actual temperature and set.

temperature of rooms.

Shows the report of status of rooms. This property

helps to take printout of room status.

ExitTo exit from the software click the button on the

upper left corner of this form, or use system---->exit.

System---->disconnects.

To disconnect your machine from rooms

report you want to take the printout

If you close this s/w once activating, it will

disconnect your machine from rooms and you will not get

latest status of rooms and it will show the status before

Operating procedure

Insert the tag properly into the key tag holder that is

placed inside the room near the entrance. This procedure

will enable devices that are connected to the system. To

call the occupant, bell switch provided in the corridor

panel can be used. This panel is capable of displaying the

service status also. If any service is activated and key tag

is taken out, the display on the corridor will glow

continuously, but the devices connected to the system will

turn OFF after 20 seconds.
