Students must also attend a MANDATORY meeting with their parents on:February 20, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.in the Performing Arts Center.

SUMMER SCHOOLSummer School registration will be made available by Mid-March.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION EXEMPTION

There is a policy that permits students to be exempt from PE if they participate in a sport, cheerleading, dance, or marching band.

DROPPING A SUBJECTA student may withdraw from a course within the first two weeks without penalty, providing the students course load does not fall below five credits for that year.If a course is dropped after the first two weeks, a grade of a F will be recorded.

SCHEDULE CHANGE POLICYSchedule changes may be considered for the following reasons:Change necessitated by physical health of a studentCompletion of course in Summer SchoolChanges necessitated by failuresMechanical error changesSubject-level changesClassroom balancing

COURSE LEVELSStudents capable of honors or advanced placement courses should sign up for these when completing the course selection sheet. Students can be moved to a lower level course within the first grading period providing one is available and they are academically misplaced. Changing placement from regular level to honors or AP after the beginning of the school year is not an option as the student has missed too much instruction and/or the appropriate summer work for the course.
