16 March 2015 Programmes delivered at Stellenbosch Academy As an Academic Board member I have had the privilege of seeing Clayton deliver report backs as academic head over a number of years. He has managed to lead the Academy through a very careful programme design process that has resulted in a marked improvement in the students ability to engage critically and creatively with their studies. The quality of conceptual development of student design solutions within the programme has been notable and is evidenced by the many awards won by the Academy. This is significant in that it not only shows that the work is of a high educational standard but that it is also recognized by our creative industry as being relevant and worthy. Clayton displays good leadership qualities with the teaching team and has managed to build a common thread and oversight for the programmes that has provided vital stability and direction at the Academy.
