ŠKODA Yeti

SIMPLY CLEVER

The secret to the distinct design of the new Yeti lies in the combination of a robust appearance with functional details. The characteristic front grille clearly evokes the ŠKODA brand while other elements of the front of the car lend the Yeti an original and striking expression. The main headlights sweep to the sides of the body. To the inside of them are circular lights with integrated daytime running lights and foglights on the 4x4 version. The Yeti can also be equipped with optional Bi-Xenon headlights with rotary modules and the 4x4 version with front foglights and the corner function.

Your driving will gain a whole new dimension thanks to the optional electrically-adjustable panoramic roof which allows you to create a large open space above the seats.

The Yeti 4x4, backed by the latest generation Haldex clutch as well as an optional off-road mode, can easily negotiate diffi cult terrain. The off-road mode has a number of functions such as the Hill Descent Assistant or Start-up Assistant, the adaptation of the ABS, ASR and EDS electronic systems to the driving conditions, and a more sensitive accelerator confi guration.

You will discover state-of-the-art technologies in our new Yeti. It comes with a choice of radios, optional satellite navigation, Bluetooth® phone connectivity and a multi-function steering wheel. The high technology is further represented by the engines, some of which are available with front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The 1.2-litre 77kW engine is also available with an automatic 7-speed DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox).

Recommended gearshift function is displayed in the top right corner of the on-board computer display.

The optional Columbus satellite navigation system offers, amongst other things, an off-road navigation option. This feature enables you to record and save a route taken by the vehicle off the digitised road network, for example on unsealed roads.

While the driver airbag is hidden in

the steering wheel, the passenger airbag

is located in the dashboard.

The front side airbags protect the pelvis and

chest of the driver and passenger in the event

of a side collision. The height-adjustable

WOKS front headrests are designed to protect

the spine in case of a rear impact.

The optional alarm with interior monitoring, horn with back-up

power and inclination sensor play an important role in

the security of the car.

The driver's knee airbag prevents contact with the lower part of the dashboard in the event of a collision.

The Boarding Spots, designed to illuminate the entry areas, are integrated into the wing mirrors and enable you to avoid puddles when leaving the car in the dark.

The equipment of the entry-level Yeti completely refl ect the character of the car. It offers a level of comfort which exceeds the standard for the compact SUV class, while staying attractive with its simple elegance. The Refl ex interior with fabric upholstery is available in black. The dashboard, in black/black, is lined with the Graphit décor. The standard equipment for the entry-level Yeti also includes height-adjustable driver's seat, electrically-adjustable external mirrors and front and rear windows, 1.0-litre bottle holders in the front door compartments, a centre console with a drinks holder, a storage compartment and a pen holder, the VarioFlex rear seating system and Nevis 7.0J x 16" alloy wheels.

The Yeti 4x4 equipment version is the perfect choice for those who desire a sports style with a high level of comfort and safety. The Spirit interior with fabric upholstery is available in black/silver, while the dashboard in black/black is lined with the Quartz décor. The standard equipment for the 4x4 includes chrome interior door handles, a steering wheel with a chrome strip, onboard computer, a third headrest in the rear, a foldable table in the rear seat backrest, a fi xing system with sliding hooks in the luggage compartment and Spitzberg 7.0J x 17" alloy wheels. By special request, the 4x4 version may also be ordered with the exclusive Lynx (leather/artifi cal leather) interior.

GLOSSARY

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)When braking, sensors in each wheel measure the road speed. If one or more wheels start to lock, the ABS reduces brake pressure to those wheels. This prevents the wheels from locking during heavy or emergency braking and allows you to continue to steer the vehicle.

Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR)ASR is a switchable traction control system that prevents the front wheels from spinning under acceleration. When a difference in driving wheel speed is detected (e.g. due to differences in road surfaces), the system automatically reduces engine torque accordingly.

Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution (EBD)This sophisticated system provides an electronic means of regulating the ratio of front to rear brake pressure. The system automatically varies the settings according to driving and load conditions to ensure each wheel is braked to the optimum extent.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)The ESP is made up of the ABS and ASR traction control systems. Simply put, it helps ensure that the vehicle goes where you steer it – even in extreme driving conditions. By constantly comparing the actual movement of the vehicle with pre-determined values, ESC will apply the brakes to individual wheels and automatically adjust the engine’s power output to correct a problem the very moment it arises.

Brake AssistBrake Assist aids the driver during emergency braking by automatically increasing the brake pressure to a level exceeding the locking limit. Then, the ABS is quickly brought into the operating range, thereby enabling maximum vehicle deceleration.
