Bringing 3D Technology Into Education

The Possibilities Are Endless!

ACADIAN ROBOTICS

STΣ@M is an acronym that represents how all topics in subject areas relate to each other and to

the real world.

The sentence that defines this is: Science & Technology, interpreted through Engineering & the

Arts, all based in Mathematical elements.

The A stands for the broad spectrum of the arts going well beyond aesthetics; it includes the

liberal arts, formally folding in Language Arts, Social Studies, Physical Arts, Fine Arts, & Music

that each shape developments in STEM fields.

It is a framework for teaching that is based on natural ways of learning, customizable for ALL

types of students and programs and is FUNctional!

Businesses are connecting to STEM

innovative schools to help produce

employees and leaders of tomorrow that

can help solve real-life problems now as

students.

STEM promotes a structure of community

and business partnerships with schools.

New Steps to Help Inspire and Prepare Many More Students Become Makers.

The Maker Movement can fuel the imagination of American students, and equip them with the skills they need to invent the future. Hands-on learning and Making not only promotes values such as creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and self-expression, but can also serve as a path to get more girls and boys excited about STEM and about careers making things in manufacturing.

3D Printing in Education

30 years ago, no one could have imagined that there would be a computer on every desktop and in

every home. Never mind the computer on every desktop. In the near future, teachers and students

will want or have a 3D printer on their desks to help them learn core Science, Technology,

Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) principles.

Children love to explore and try new things, but many are afraid to try, they are scared of failure.

3D printing removes that fear; instead it embodies them with confidence to venture into the

unknown.

Hands-on learning and Making not only promotes values such as creativity, problem-solving,

collaboration, and self-expression, but can also serve as a path to get more girls and boys excited

about STEM and about careers creating things in manufacturing.

Many colleges and careers are already using this type of technology and programs. Having this

knowledge will prepare our students and give them an advantage in what they will be expected to

know when they graduate.

Careers such as, Mechanical and Software Engineering, Drafting and Design, Architecture,

Graphic Design, Production Design, Medical Industry, Biomedical Industry, Aeronautical

Engineering, Automotive Manufacturing, and many more. Without this critical knowledge that

focuses on all aspects of STEM, our students will not be fully prepared intellectually for what will

be needed to be successful in any of these career choices.

New High School Degree have recently been implemented throughout Louisiana public school

systems. It allows students to choose the career path that they want to follow. High Schools are

now joining up with technical schools to allow students that want to follow a particular

certification program, actually go to those facilities to begin the learning process. By doing this,

students will be able to start earning credits towards a degree in a specific

trade.

Revolutionizing the Classroom with 3D Printing

Acadian Robotics is excited to announce our first 3D printer that is designed for Education.

The Copperhead 3D Printer.

The Copperhead is sturdy, reliable, and precise. It is designed to fit any production need. It creates

hands on learning in the classroom setting and correlates with all aspects of STEM.

With The Copperhead you can "TOUCH YOUR IMAGINATION"

The Copperhead was Designed for a

True Hands-on Approach to Discovery and Learning

We Offer Our Printers Fully Assembled or in a ‘DIY’ Kit.

The DIY Kit is perfect for Education.

The DIY Kit comes with an unassembled printer. The kit comes with all parts and instructions

needed to assemble the printer.

All components are wired with disconnects that allow for upgrades or quick part replacement.

The electronics board comes pre-assembled and firmware is already loaded.

Pre-configured settings for ABS and PLA material are provided.

Unassembled printers are recommended for many educational settings. Having the students actually

learn how to assemble the printer will offer hands on learning; which creates excitement and a true

once in a lifetime educational experience.

We offer different educational packages, which includes technical support and training, links to

different modeling software, curriculum guides and lesson plans, and an Education Forum for teachers

to go online and share lesson ideas with other teachers.
