FACULTY CROSS CURRICULAR Maths would like to work with Music because though the link may not be obvious, apparently there is a link in the brain between Maths and Music. Maths think that Geography would like to work with them because of graphs, representation of information, tables/charts etc. Science would like to work with Humanities and look at KS3 procedures, or with Maths on numeracy focus in terms of graphical techniques. History would like to work with Art to create murals etc, or with Music or Drama. English would like to work with Art, Music, or History, involving descriptive writing/poetry based on these subjects. Also with MFL on language, grammar based learning and discussion around English topics. Or with Media Studies to create videos, develop scripting skills, explore alternative filmed/uploaded homework tasks. Music would like to work with English on rhythm eg. Iambic pentameter eg. Shakespeare, on MFL for ideas on styles of music, lyrics and language. Drama would like to work with History to explore key moments.

Child Development would like to work with Geography or MFL.

Business Studies would like to work with History or Science.

ICT would like to work with ICT History in Year 7 to explore the first computer, with Science to explore technology for the future, or Art to explore the artistic element of ICT eg. Making logos, creative design.

Cultural Studies would like to work with Drama to explore difficult complex ideas!

Chemistry would like to work with Art as chemistry is the basis for all the colours and Chemistry is very colourful.

Physics would like to work with History because the physics we teach is from a long time ago , so nice for students to know where the theory comes from.

Biology would like to work with Art eg. London Zoo trip for coat patterns, links to adaptations.

Media would like to work with Sociology and make videos!

Music would like to work with History to link knowledge with music.

Geography would like to work with DT to design a coastal defence model, or a street which discourages crime, defensible space, security etc.

MFL would like to work with English on grammar structures, past participles, verbs, nouns, how we refer to these across our subjects. Also with Cultural studies to discuss relevant topics to students eg. Drugs, alcohol, healthy living.
