O2E stands for “ordinary to exceptional”. This sums up the vision for each of Brian Scudamore’s companies, 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, WOW 1 DAY PAINTING, and You Move Me, that make up O2E Brands.

Each service focuses on making seemingly ordinary industries quirky and fresh, while providing customers with excellent service from professionally trained employees.

Brian launched 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in 1989 with $700, an old pick-up truck, and an innovative idea.

Almost 3 decades later, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? is a household name with widespread recognition in the media and on reality television.

Sister-brands, WOW 1 DAY PAINTING and You Move Me are experiencing phenomenal growth as the fresh, innovative newcomers to their respective industries.

Brian’s success is due to his visionary entrepreneurial style, plus his determination to hire happy people who provide excellent customer service.

Although he’s gained international recognition for his entrepreneurial innovations, Brian is not done yet. He may be ready to revolutionize again, with a dream to own the professional home services space throughout North America.

Brian Scudamore founded 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in 1989. He bought a beat-up truck for $700 and called his company The Rubbish Boys. His focus on customer service and professionalism quickly generated buzz, and his business blossomed. Ten years later, he changed the name to 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and in spite of being told it was impossible, franchised the company.

Now, it’s the World’s Largest Junk Removal Service, with professional junk haulers in over 170 locations throughout Canada, the United States, and Australia. In 2014, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? celebrated its 25th anniversary, and its trusted reputation has enabled Brian to successfully launch two other brands. The once-unemployed college student is well on his way to owning a home-service empire.

Brian has always been intrigued by the idea of taking ordinary services and turning them into exceptional experiences. In 2010, he was on the hunt for a sister-brand for 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and discovered a quirky painting company that promised to complete any job in one day. After having his whole house painted in a day, Brian felt “WOWed” and made the owner an offer. He renamed the company WOW 1 DAY PAINTING, and applied the customer service excellence and professionalism of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? to his second brand. By using a “Speed + Quality = WOW” formula, the new company took off, and is now bringing quality you expect in a timeline that’s unexpected to over 25 franchise locations in North America.

In 2013, Brian – ever the innovator – was on the hunt for a third brand to add to his growing home-service empire. A horrible experience with a local moving company was the inspiration behind You Move Me. He knew the industry was fragmented and had a less than stellar reputation, and knew he could leverage the infrastructure he’d built with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and WOW 1 DAY PAINTING to revolutionize the moving industry.

You Move Me is truly different than any other moving company.

Uniformed, professionally trained movers bring coffee on moving day, and leave a housewarming plant when they go. Customer service is the company’s primary focus, and movers always offer up-front estimates. It’s not just a moving company, it’s a movement towards an honest, standardized industry.
