Breaker in a BoxDiamond’s new Breaker in a Box has redefined

the concept of Turnkey Egg Breaking Plants. Thisnew system breaks, filters, pasteurizes andpacks up to 36,000 eggs per hour. It is a complete1,800 liter per hour whole egg breaking plantready to operate within hours. The systemincludes a semi-automatic packaging machinecapable of filling buckets, bags, bottles, barrelsor portable containers. The Breaker in a Boxincludes a hand wash sink, pressure washer andCIP system. All operations are controlled by aPLC, which controls tank level, pasteurizationparameters, CIP cycles and packaging operations.The processing system is pre-installed in a 40-foot shipping container modified to meet allsanitary standards. The interior walls are coveredwith fiberglass panels and a stainless steelsloping diamond plate floor which providesproper drainage. Diamond includes their 100Sbreaker, capable of handling eggs from 350,000birds in 8 hours. This premanufactured, selfcontained breaking plant will function with 3 operators.

This totally new concept is excellent for newfurther processing markets.• The portable container concept could avoid permitsand complex delays found in permanent structures.• It provides an economical means to enter the breakingand further processing markets without building a largefacility.

• The equipment is pre-tested and ready to operate with-in hours of arrival.• The Breaker in a Box could also be used if a shell eggmarket quickly changes and graded eggs need to beprocessed and pasteurized.• If necessary the plant can be moved from one egg pro-duction facility to another.

The 100S breaker begins with an infeedconveyor and manual loading system. Eggstravel through the breaker removing the shellsand inedible product. A pump sends the liquidwhole egg through a filter and into the pasteurizingsupply tank. The pasteurizer will automaticallyrespond and adjust to variations in product flow.

Following pasteurization the l iquid wil l bestored in an insulated storage tank and packagedsemi-automat ical ly into a wide range ofpackaging materials.

The plant has a CIP system included,requiring a minimal amount of manual cleaning.A hot water tank, pressure washer and stainlesshand sink are also included. The Diamond

Breaker in a Box is constructed with all theholding tubes and equipment mounted onstainless square frames. All the equipment,piping, electrical, motors and panels areinstalled and tested before shipment.

The complete containerized plant includes autility shed, a 30 HP Glycol Chiller System, a5HP air compressor, water softener, and a lowpressure steam boiler.

Diamond will supply detailed specificationsof the equipment and the layout along withdrawings for concrete pads. Some of thecomponents can be purchased locally. Afactory trained technician wil l be available tosupervise the start up and training of thebreaking plant .
