They have a plan B which is not complete without their two childhood friends Stanley, and Jacobi. The four hash out a plan to sell the popular drug ecstasy, however they take a big loss once they find out the drugs they received are potentially lethal.

After discarding the drugs they decide to arm themselves with illegal weapons provided by a local store owner with the intentions on robbing a local Mexican gang. Their plan seems to go as planned, but it soon rains on their parade once Phillip receives a call that changes everything.

Filmmakers FAQS

1. How did the story come about?

Torez Lamar who plays Dante, approached director Orundi Colvin about shooting a music video. Colvin was not interested in the video. However, once Lamar explained he wants to also shoot a movie that peaked Colvin’s interest, and he began to write the script.

2. How long did the project take?

It took a total of 11 days to write the film, and 9 shooting days to complete it. We started shooting the film in October, and immediately after post production began until the film was completed in March of 2014.

3. What was the budget for the film, and how did you get?

The budget was $1400 which went to the sound operator, and the remaining went towards food. Lamar was able to use his own money to fund the project. The equipment was provided by Colvin who owned the equipment.

4. What camera did you shoot on?

We shoot on the Canon 7D. Because it was such a small budget we only had two lens a 85mm 1.4 & stock 28-135mm.

5. Is this story based on a true story?

No, however there are certain scenarios in the story that are based on a true story. We’ll assume this is being read before the film is seen, and we won’t give away specifics. For specifics feel free to email the director [email protected]

6. Where was the film shot?

The film was shot in Niagara Falls, NY. Which is near Buffalo, NY and we shot using one main location.

7. Why did the lawyer for BOYZ II MEN threaten legal action?

The director contacted him on facebook to inform him of a up and coming singer whom he thought we be a good fit in the music business. To make a long story short he told Orundi, that if he didn’t change the name which is a common name by the way, that he would take legal action. The film is spelled differently as well as it’s not the first time a film has been called Boys To Men. As you see we decided not to change the name of the film.

Director’s Statement

I come from a horror background, and I wanted to go in a different direction

as far as my next film was concerned. Not having funds to make a movie I

had went on a 3 year hiatus since my last film, and knew I needed to make

something soon. That’s when I was contacted by Torez Lamar in which he

wanted to shoot a music video, I was totally uninterested.

The film was shot for $2,000 and was written from scratch in eleven days. I really wanted to tell a story about four friends, but I didn’t want to show the guys selling drugs on screen for 72 minutes so I made sure each character somehow had some type of relationship with someone that motivates their character in the script, and gives them an ulterior motive.

My hopes is that people understands that you can gain financial wealth without involving yourself in illegal activity. Also to show no matter how much money is involved, your friendship, and life is not worth losing for 15 minutes of fame, and fortune.
