What is BOSS?
• The Business Objects Shared Service (BOSS) provides highly-available shared Business Objects systems to all areas of the BP Group.
• BOSS was created as a result of the distributed nature of BP and the excessive cost to operate many independent Business Objects systems.
• All servers, software, and capacity are monitored and maintained centrally by the BOSS support team.
• BOSS provides a core set of reporting services with additional services available for an additional fee.
