The plan submitted is that known aB the Holly pump, .,which requires no reservoir. The power to be used will be water and for that purpose Mr. Parish's property, lo- cated at the east end of the dam will be pur- chased. The amount tobe.eipended in the con- struction of works will not exceed f 100,000. It is impossible at the present moment to estimate the benefits likely to result from this decision.— It is believed by those who have given the sub- ject the most attention that the receipts from the sale of water will be sufficient, from the start, to pay interest on the bonds and create a sinking fund to pay principal, If these estimates are sound the tax-payera will not be called upon to pay a single cent. One of the most important yotes ever taken

in Ogdensbnrg was that by which our people de-

cidedj on Tuesday last, to erect water wdtks, and

the unanimity with which the decision was made

is ?4ost gratifying. The plan submitted is that

known aB the Holly pump, .,which requires no

reservoir. The power to be used will be water

and for that purpose Mr. Parish's property, lo-

cated at the east end of the dam will be pur-

chased. The amount tobe.eipended in the con-

struction of works will not exceed f 100,000. I t

is impossible at the present moment to estimate

the benefits likely to result from this decision.—

It is believed by those who have given the sub-

ject the most attention that the receipts from the

sale of water will be sufficient, from the start, to

pay interest on the bonds and create a sinking

fund to pay principal, If these estimates are

sound the tax-payera will not be called upon to

pay a single cent. We do not believe that any

one will ever regret the yote cast in favor of wi-

ter, but on the contrary, before another year all
