COMPOSITE GRAFT
- Sterile BONDBONE® driver (A)- Sterile saline- Sterile dry gauze pads (B)- Sterile medical syringe. Optional
- Sterile medical needle 21-27G (1.25”-1.5” / 31.75mm-38.1mm) (C)
- Sterile granules of your preferable bone graft + Sterile dish (D)
- Sterile spatula (E)
The material needs to be activated by saline in order to harden to a cement-like consistency.
Lines (1,2) indicate operation steps while using BB as a Stand Alone and not volume quantities.
Working time is 3 minutes (Step 2 - Step 6).
It’s important to reach step 6 within 3 minutes, to avoid compromising the graft.
PRE-SURGICAL PREPARATION
Mix BB with granules in a mixing dish with a spatula. Ratio: 2 BB (volume units) + 1 granules (volume units).
Convert weight units (gr.) into volume units (cc).
Use volume units to determine mixing ratio.
For example: mix 1CC BB with 0.5CC granules.2BB
1 granules
gr CC
Wet the blend completely with sterile saline. Use a spatula to mix the blend thoroughly until a homogeneous creamy texture is obtained.
Use 1cc sterile saline for each 1.5cc composite graft (BB+ granules)
Complete wetting of the blend is important.
the mix should have a shiny and glossy appearance.
Gently absorb excess saline by applying dry sterile gauze pad above the mixture.
Do not use pressure
The final mixture should have a matte appearance.
Apply dry gauze pad for 5 seconds.
Apply wet gauze pad for 2 minutes.

It’s important to reach step 6 within 3 minutes, to avoid compromising the graft.
- Sterile BONDBONE® driver (A)
- Sterile saline (sodium chloride 0.9% for injection)

The defect should be slightly overfilled.
Shape as necessary (do not exceed 60 sec.).
Apply BB composite into the required site by pushing the piston and ejecting the paste.
In cases of four bony wall defects (socket) do not condense the material into the apex using tools.
Use 0.5cc sterile saline for each 0.5cc BB driver; use 1cc sterile saline for each 1cc BB driver.
Complete wetting of the blend is important. Do not block the aperture of the driver’s head in order for saline to drip out.
Wet BB powder by inserting the syringe needle through the driver’s head and injecting the saline.

In order to expel excess liquid, push the piston until line 2 until resistance is felt.

In horizontal position, remove driver’s head by twisting and pulling. To obtain optimal viscosity, hold the driver vertically over a gauze pad passively for 5 seconds to absorb excess saline.
Do not apply any pressure on the piston.
