This hotel has a undisputed location and has one of the best views on the lake and south part of Lucerne. It was founded in 1870 by Mister Ritz and Escoffier. The Grand-Hotel offer a historic background and a up to date italian restaurant with selected wines. You can reach any great spot or even doing a short shopping trip within a minute walk distance.

Villa Sassa - Hotel & Residence, Wellness & Spa, Lugano, Switzerland
I love this hotel. It’s a beautiful oasis of relax and people watching. It’s located on the hill with a magnificent view on the Mountains, Lake and of course on Lugano! This hotel has very nice grounds and gives a feeling of jet set although the hotel itself is not the prettiest one. The apartments are good shaped and a reasonable size. Do ask for a room from building 4 or 5, which has a direct view on Lugano, lake and mountains.
They have a very nice terrace with bar (try the club sandwich) and a restaurant witch 14 gault-millau points with a uncovered view on the lake. More to that the bar is a fabulous spot to watch the various people, mostly single russian woman.
Try to bring your gym suit with you. The gym appears to be a Must in the area of Lugano.

Restaurant Moospinte, Münchenbuchsee - Switzerland
Since 1912 this is a restaurant....has survived many visitors and owners, but it’s today, that this restaurant shows a really high standing cuisine. Sascha Berther (cook) and Stefanie Weber show a varied selection of first choice products. The location is mediocre, located close to Golf course Bern. The interior is made of a solid swiss furniture. The lunch menu selection is simply delicious. Plus: Parking places available, Minus: Interior is too rural.
