Remove the dummy plug fromthe socket

Install 8 pin decoder (eitherbachmann HO decoder or otherdecoder from open market)

Slide the roof cover backward horizontally

Pull up the roof cover

When assembling the roof cover, make sure the ladder is installed into the brackets on the roof end.

How to remove the roof from the body

Unfasten two screws on thecoupler box cover and thenremove the fine scale couplers

Install the offset shankcoupler with chain

Make sure the chain is fastened to the uncoupling lever before assemble the coupler.
