CC Group Receives Appreciation & Recognition Certificate from Abu Dhabi International Airports Company

Abu Dhabi, UAECC Group has been granted an Appreciation & Recognition Certificate from Abu Dhabi International Airports Company, in acknowledgement of its active contribution to the completion of the T1-T3 Landside Road Network Modification Project. The Project - which falls under the Capacity Enhancement Program (CEP) 2012 - aims to meet increased traffic demand resulting from passenger & aircraft capacity growth at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

CC Group & SGBJ Cooperation

Amman, JordanConsolidated Consultants Group has recently signed an agreement with Société Générale de Banque - Jordanie (SGBJ). By virtue of the agreement, CC Group will be responsible for providing an economic feasibility study, preparing official tender documents & supervising an SGBJ project aimed at generating

one megawatt of electrical energy from solar photovoltaic energy via an electrical power wheeling system. The agreement was inked by Chief Executive Officer of CC Group Eng. Said Abujaber and General Manager of SGBJ Mr. Nadim Abaouat, in the presence of several representatives from both parties. “This agreement corresponds with

CC Group’s ongoing efforts to support green energy, as well as enhance the contribution of renewable energy to the national electrical energy mix. At CC Group, we are committed to harnessing our longstanding expertise to better serve this promising sector and play an active role in achieving sustainable overall development throughout Jordan,” commented Eng. Abujaber. In turn, Mr. Abaouat stated, “We at SGBJ place a special focus on issues that have a significant impact on the local energy sector as a whole. Manager, Eng. Omar Amawi, has participated on behalf of the firm in the Jordanian Expatriates Conference, which was held under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II between 28 and 30 July, 2015, at the King Hussein bin Talal Convention Center at the Dead Sea. The Conference aimed to strengthen ties between Jordanian expatriates and their homeland by addressing the challenges they face, developing sustainable mechanisms for partnership, promoting economic development and providing improved levels of service.

The Conference comprised four main themes: - Jordan: Bright Past, Assertive Present and Promising Future- Jordan: Regional and International

WAEDAT Launches Co-Funding Program in Partnership with AFKARMENA

iSustain Award 2015 Concludes Annual Activities

Further building on previous successes, this year’s cycle showcased 30 engineering and architectural design projects presented by students

from six public and private universities across Jordan. Organized annually at the Columbia University Middle East Research Center (CUMERC),

the iSustain Award 2015 drew the involvement of a distinguished judging panel comprising a host of renowned local and international judges who carefully assessed the participating project entries.Held under the iSustain Initiative - which has garnered the support and sponsorship of CC Group for the third consecutive year - the iSustain Award aims to encourage engineering and architecture students to present creative, progressive and eco-friendly design solutions to the challenges facing the Kingdom’s built environment, with the ultimate goal of fostering innovation in the field of sustainable design.

This will be achieved via a 120 kilometer world class highway that blazes a trail through the desert area of Seeh Al Sudaira.The highway - which serves as a link between the KPIZ and Al Ain International Airport - was officially

defined as a rural freeway and will offer full access control, in addition to optimum safety and efficiency levels regarding the movement of large traffic volumes at high speeds.As part of our role, CC Group is responsible for the full design of the new road, interchanges, bridges, underpasses, utilities, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and side-road improvements, as well as for widening the existing route, recommending street furniture, conducting safety audits and relocating all services in coordination with relevant authorities to obtain No Objection Certificates (NOC). Our scope of work also comprised checking the projected outcome of the STEAM model, carrying out Turning Movement Counts (TMC) to check on model-base year volumes, in addition to running sensitivity test and analyses.

CC Group has concluded the T1-T3 Landside Road Network Modification Project, subsequently helping Abu Dhabi International Airport accommodate additional traffic demand generated by passenger and aircraft capacity growth following the completion of the Midfield Terminal.Implemented as part of Abu Dhabi International Airport’s Capacity Enhancement Program (CEP) 2012, the Project aims to facilitate increased traffic resulting from the T3 Business Park and the relocation of the Arrivals Hall. Over the course of the Project, we were responsible for upgrading the existing road to a four-lane dual carriageway, and designed the roundabout intersections, storm water drainage network, street lighting, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and landscape works.

We also conducted a comprehensive field survey; performed, reviewed and updated the Traffic Impact Study (TIS); provided official tender documents; and coordinated with utility owners to obtain No Objection Certificates (NOC). Alternatively, we handled full project management and were tasked with reviewing and approving contractor shop drawings and material submittals; monitoring

the schedule and progress throughout all construction phases; reviewing and validating contractor claims; as well as recommended the issuance of variation orders.

CC Group Oversees Construction of Medium and Small

Court Houses in Abu Dhabi

Concept Design Proposed and funded by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), this project involves the construction of multiple medium and small-sized court house complexes across nine different locations throughout the vibrant capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Upon completion, every complex will consist of four buildings, one for each of the main courts: Civil Court, Personal Status Court, Inheritance Court and Criminal Court. For this project - which is currently underway - CC Group was tasked with full architectural, engineering and landscape design, site adaptations, traffic impact assessments and construction supervision. Executed under the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 - an ambitious

development and diversification plan that impacts almost every sector of the national economy - the project is implemented in accordance with Estidama guidelines. An initiative of the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council (UPC), Estidama arose from a need to properly plan, design, construct and operate sustainable developments, while taking into consideration the rich cultural traditions of the UAE and the harsh climatic nature of the Gulf region.

CC Group Designs Multi-Storey Car Parking Building for Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Headquarter in Dubai

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai is currently in the process of constructing a multi-storey car park building that would create ample parking space for its employees, whilst alleviating surrounding street traffic. Valued at AED 60 million, the project - which was awarded to CC Group in 2014 - comprises six storeys that can accommodate up to 900 vehicles across 25,000 square meters. Designed to feature an additional four storey expansion that will bring the total area to 45,000 square meters, the building will in the future include offices and two bridges connecting to the existing RTA headquarter. In addition to architectural engineering, building engineering and construction supervision, our CC Group teams designed all related

infrastructure networks. These encompass water and wastewater; surface and storm water drainage; and power, low current distribution and external lighting.

CC Group Commences Detailed Design Phase for Sheikh Khalifa Central Hospital in Fujairah CC Group has commenced the detailed design phase for the Sheikh Khalifa Central Hospital, a comprehensive state-of-the-art medical facility located in the heart of the emirate of Fujairah. The 57,800 sqm campus comprises the hospital and disability rehabilitation center, with the hospital component featuring a Trauma and Accident Unit, Inpatient Wards and Outpatient Clinics. Awarded to CC Group by the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Presidential Affairs, we were responsible for developing the project’s architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, hydrological, landscape, road and information technology designs. The design concept of the Sheikh Khalifa Central Hospital was developed based on a linear public atrium linking all elements of the hospital and the disability rehabilitation center. In addition to the medical facilities, the premises encompasses a designated parking lot, mosque, outdoor garden and rehab center.
