How he got started

He created his first website at the age of 10.

He began contributing to Netscape very soon after it was open-sourced. He worked as an intern at Netscape Communications Corporation at the age of 15, while attending high school, from which he graduated in 2003. Later that year, he enrolled at Stanford University, where he is now on a leave of absence to focus on work.

Products and Company

Blake Ross no longer works with FireFox and Mozilla, but now works with Facebook after Facebook bought his Parakey project he and a partner were working on.

Products and Company

Blake Ross was the lead developer of Mozilla FireFox in 2003, along with David Hyatt. It started out as Phoenix, then FireBird, and now FireFox. Ross and Joe Hewitt had been working on creating Parakey, a new user interface designed to bridge the gap between the desktop and the web. On July 20, 2007 Facebook purchased Parakey. He is also the author of Firefox For Dummies

Leadership Characteristics

Blake Ross has many different Characteristics. He for one had a great amount of determination as he has to go up against the popular Internet Explorer and many other browsers. He also had creativity in order to make his product different than any of the other different kinds of browsers, in order to make his stand out.
