1961 Ulrich Schaufler, a qualified engineer, takes over the company from Martin Bitzer
1934 Martin Bitzer founds the company Apparatebau für Kältetechnik, which later became BITZER
1940: 1st open drive compressor Type I

THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION
AIM AND STRUCTURE
THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION was founded in 2005 by Senator h. c. Peter Schaufler and his wife Christiane Schaufler-Münch. It is committed to continuing the life’s work of its founders, to combine entrepreneurship with science, research and art.
The long-term preservation of BITZER SE as an independent, autonomous company is firmly established in the charter.
