WELCOME!Welcome everyone, to the inaugural Big Texas Beer Fest! When we set out to organize this craft beer festival, we had no intentions to do something small, or skip over any small details; quite the contrary. We believed that the residents of Dallas-Fort Worth and beyond, deserved a quality craft beer festival. Many told us that this area was not ready for a craft beer festival. We watched as the Dallas Beer Festival tried and was cancelled due to lack of advance ticket sales. In the wake of that event, we trudged on, and here we are, nally ready to present what we believe is going to be a craft beer event that you, the attendees, can be proud of. year after year. Without your support, the initial support we received from both major distributors Ben E. Keith and Andrews Distributing, and all our other sponsors, none of this would have been possible. This festival will hugely benet the North Texas Food Bank. A portion of every ticket sold goes directly to their mission of ending hunger in North Texas. Please understand, weve tried our best to plan a successful event, but as with any rst time event, we expect some bumps in the road. We encourage your feedback after the event, and look forward to doing it all over again next year! Cheers, Chad & Nellie Montgomery

Our mission is to educate about craft beer, expand the palates of everyone who attends, sponsor charitable causes, and support small, local businesses. A portion of the proceeds benet the North Texas Food Bank (www.ntfb.org). We chose them because hunger is a major problem in North Texas, and 94% of their funds go directly to their mission. DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS BREWERIESAdelberts Adelberts Brewery is committed to brewing Belgian-style bottle conditioned ales that people will seek, savor, and share with others. Adelberts uses Bohemian old-world oor malted barley, low alpha Noble Czech hops, and fresh yeast propagated at the brewery. With our ve vessel brewhouse, we use a time consuming multi-temperature decoction mash technique to extract more avor complexity from our grains. Each batch is conditioned for a minimum of six weeks; three in the fermentation vessels to allow the yeast to smooth out, and three in the bottles or kegs for natural carbonation and further avor development. Deep Ellum Brewing Company Deep Ellum opened their doors in late 2011 as Dallas rst craft brewery. We really want to embody the spirit of Deep Ellum. What that means to us is the big, bold, be yourself no apologies attitude that seems to shine through in the culture of the area. Whether its in the arts, the music, or the people that make up the community. Deep Ellum is a place lled with a great deal of passion. Well brew what we want to brew, because its what we like to drink, and well make no apologies if it doesnt appeal to the lowest common denominator. We may not get rich and famous this way, but were damn proud of what we brew. And to us, thats the Deep Ellum way. Firewheel Brewing Lifes too short for bad beer, so the goal of Firewheel Brewing Co. is: To brew great tasting, high quality craft and specialty beers, never compromising on avor or style, using traditional and innovative brewing methods. They are now planing for rapid expansion and just acquired 100gal tanks to use as a stepping stone into several barrel system. 20

No Label Our mission is to create exceptional hand-crafted Ales and Lagers that are unique to Katy and Texas. We are a family owned and operated brewery in Katy, TX. Our roots are from Panama, Texas and Philly. Our family heritage is also very dierent. We have Germans, Czechs and Panamanians in the bunch. So to say all four owners are dierent is an understatement. Peticolas The Peticolas Brewing Company is truly a modern day Mom and Pop operation. Unlike the vast majority of deep pocket investor funded breweries operating across the state, the Peticolas Brewing Company is a small family owned and operated brewery named after its founders, Michael and Melissa Peticolas. The brewery will strive to foster a local craft beer identity and provide North Texans with local products they can genuinely enjoy, feel connected to, and stand behind. Rahr & Sons The story of Rahr & Sons Brewing Co. really starts when Fritz Rahr graduated from Texas Christian University. Fortunately for beer lovers in North Texas, Fritz fell in love with Fort Worth. Fritz and Erin founded Rahr & Sons Brewing Co. in the fall of 2004. In ve years, the brewery has more than doubled its brewing capacity - from 2,000 barrels per year to over 5,000 barrels per year and has won fteen nationally-recognized awards. The Rahr family looks forward to more growth and even more awards for the brewery, but Fritz and Erin are most excited about continuing to brew great tasting beers that can be found throughout Texas! Real Ale Nestled in the Texas Hill Country is the home of Real Ale Brewing Company, where a dedicated team of brewers produces quality handcrafted ales. Utilizing a 60-barrel stainless steel brewing sys22

tem, we incorporate 100% malted grain, domestic and imported hops, and crystal clear water into our unique recipes. Weve been brewing since 1996, and now you can nd Real Ale all over the Lone Star State. If you dont see us at your favorite stores, bars, and restaurants, make sure to ask for us by name! Cheers and thanks for your support! Saint Arnold Saint Arnold Brewing Company, located in Houston, is Texas Oldest Craft Brewery. Our goal is to brew world class beers and deliver them to our customers as fresh as possible making them the best beers in Texas. Our customers are beer lovers - people that appreciate great, full-avored beers. Our small crew does everything at the brewery: brew the beer, lter the beer, keg the beer, bottle the beer, sell the beer and drink the beer. For us, this is a passion, not a job. We believe that this comes through in the beers we make. Our beers have soul. We brew fourteen dierent beers. Seven are made year round and seven are seasonal. Shiner From its earlier time under the Shiner Brewing Association in 1909, to that fateful day in 1914 when Kosmos Spoetzl saw an opportunity to bring classic Bavarian brewing traditions to his fellow immigrants, through the Great Experiment of Prohibition and Great Depression, the Little Brewery has stuck to what they know the best -- handcrafting the nest beer!
