Big Bad Bash Role-play

Work with the children to allocate characters and prepare a short performance. Discuss the stage directions in advance and make sure the children understand how to follow the script.

(Bash and Dash are near the mud. The other dinosaurs watch them.)

Narrator 1: Bash was big and bad.

Bash: I can chuck Dash into that thick muck.

(Bash pushes Dash into the mud.)

Dinosaur 1: Bash is big and bad!

Narrator 2: Then, Dash got a long thing.

Dash: Hang on to this, Bash. Tug that bit, and I will tug this bit.

Narrator 1: Bash hung on to the long thing.

Dinosaur 2: This will be fun. Bash will tug Dash into the muck.

Narrator 2: Dash ran off to a big bush.

(Dash ties the end of the long thing to the bush.)

Dash: I can fix this long thing on to the bush.

Narrator 1: Bash had to tug and tug.
