Message from the President, TSHT

Dear Friends, I hope you are doing well in this difficult time of COVID-19. As you all know the lockdown is slowly being opened for businesses and religious places. At present Temple Executive Committee has decided to open our temple for temple pujas with a congregation limit of maximum 25 persons at a time in the temple. Everyone will strictly follow the CDC guidelines when coming to the temple. If you are sick or have had recent exposure to any sick person, please stay at home and quarantine yourself. All devotees coming to the temple MUST: 1. Wash their hands with soap at the temple entrance 2. Wear face masks that cover both their mouths and noses 3. Practice social distancing of at least 6 feet while in the temple to prevent transmission of the virus The family hosting the puja in the temple should make sure that the total attendance should not exceed 25 at present, to minimize the risk of viral transmission. Food will not be served in the temple at present. Panditji will give fruits as prashad, but will not serve the tirtham at present. Temple construction is moving slowly during this pandemic time. India is lifting the lockdown now and we may receive the second shipment of marble from Gujarat by the end of this month. The third shipment will come sometime next month, and after that we will start the installation work of the garbhgrihams inside the temple. This will be followed by the procurement of the deities, that are being carved in India, and their installation. After this we will start the flooring work, with the placement of tiles and carpet. Hopefully we will gain momentum with construction as the businesses open up. I will keep you informed as we progress with construction. As you know, the temple is in need of significant funds, and your generous contributions are very much needed and appreciated at this time. I sincerely appreciate your support of the Temple. I would also appreciate if all of you would become temple members by sending your temple membership dues May Lord Ganesha always bless you with good health and happiness! With Best Regards,

Kuldeep Pandit, President, Tri-state Hindu Temple
