TURKEY’S FIRST UNMANNED HELICOPTER: ALPİN

Page 2: BEYOND THE LIMITS IN VERTICAL FLIGHT

WHERE WILL WE MEET THE MYSTERY CALLED “INSPIRATION” IS NEVER KNOWN. IF ONLY WE MANAGE TO REACH AND REALIZE OUR DREAMS, NO MATTER HOW HIGH THEY ARE.

Leonardo Da Vinci’s sketches that projected way beyond his time... Hezarfen Ahmed Çelebi’s wings which made him fly from Galata to Üsküdar... Birds and insects abstractedly gliding in the air...

We work to build a brand new future by being inspired from our history. With the desire to support the national technology action of our country, we produce solutions in realms of unmanned systems, smart health, smart cities, artificial intelligence, big data, and cyber security.

As the kids who pushed the limits of imagination and had flied their intellects on the wings of paper airplanes; we are proud today to bring together our UNMANNED HELICOPTER ALPİN with the sky, and present to the service of civilian and military aviation, which had been designed and developed by our team consisting of R&D specialists, technologists, and engineers.

WE GOT OVER…ALL THE POSSIBLE WAY IN INNOVATION!

“Although it has been thought to remotely fly the warplanes since World War I; the utilization of unmanned aircrafts in military field was actualized in the beginning of ‘90s. “

The 2000s witnessed the radio-controlled unmanned aircrafts and their full autonomous models to be used for surveillance and operational purposes all around the world.

2020 was recorded as the year when ALPİN raised the signature of TİTRA TEKNOLOJİ to a high altitude.

SUSTAINABILITY OF TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENTS IS AT LEAST AS SIGNIFICANT AS THE INVENTIONS…

SYSTEMS THAT NOT ONLY FLY, BUT ALSO HAVE THEIR FEET ON THE GROUND. The experienced staff of TİTRA are happy to accomplish this challenging duty of actualizing the unmanned helicopter that they call “ALPİN” after 1,5 years of intensely working, thanks to the high level of technology they applied.

On the other hand, ALPİN, whose mechanic and electro-mechanic infrastructures, software, and hardware systems have been renewed and updated to a brand new working principle; paid off these intense efforts and completed the check flights successfully.

Developing solutions in realms of defense technologies, smart systems, and artificial intelligence, TİTRA sustains its efforts inan “unmanization” technology-oriented way to present the helicopters, which will transform to an inactive piece of inventory in the future, to the service of civilian and military aviation.

Used during the Vietnam War for the first time to conduct surveillance on enemy lines, helicopters are one of the most powerful tools of armies today with its advanced features.

Besides being used for their ability to provide vertical logistic support without requiring an airfield and performing search and rescue duties under extraordinary conditions such as natural disasters thanks to their design that enables landing and taking of no matter what the weather and field conditions are, helicopters are also among the irreplaceables of civilian aviation due to their use as an air taxi in some metropoles of the world.

ALPİN, which is able to unmannedly land and take off without requiring any interference, is an unmatched “flying intelligence”, a masterpiece of unmanization technology that is designed to perform the above duties in a full autonomous manner.

► Endure for 7 hours with its full fuel tank whose capacity was increased,

► Fly within a range of 800-850 kilometers with an elevation of 15.000 feet,

► Take pictures from an altitude of 4000 meters with the useful load it has for surveillance purposes,

► Carry useful load up to 160 kilograms,

► Accomplish the mission without needing an airfield for take off and landing,

► Allow different integrations in direction of requirements.

THANKS TO THE ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY WORKS PERFORMED, ALPİN, WHICH USED TO BE A 2-PERSON CAPACITY HELICOPTER WITH A MAXIMUM FLIGHT TIME OF 3. 5 HOURS, WAS TRANSFORMED TO A FULL AUTONOMOUS UNMANNED HELICOPTER AND IS ABLE TO;“A FLYING INTELLIGENCE”

CHALLENGING THE TIME AND CONDITIONS IN SURVEILLANCE AND SEARCH AND RESCUE

THANKS TO ONE TOUCH TAKE OFF AND LANDING FEATURE AND EASY UTILIZATION, A SHORT TIME IS ENOUGH FOR ALPİN’S PILOT TRAINING.

It conveys emergency humanitarian assistance to the disaster area in case of natural disasters.

IT ENABLES EMERGENCY CARGO DELIVERY TO OIL AND NATURAL GAS EXPLORATION/DRILLING PLATFORMS IN THE OPEN SEA.

AREAS OF UTILIZATION LOGISTICS

ALPİN IS ALSO READY TO SERVE FOR MODERN AGE TECHNOLOGIES LIKE “AIR TAXI” AND FOR GLOBAL LOGISTICS COMPANIES TO PERFORM CONTACTLESS AND UNMANNED DELIVERIES, WHICH GAINED MORE IMPORTANCE DURING THE PANDEMIC.

ALPİN is being usedby the logistic companies especially for regional load carriage purposes.

It is used to conduct emergency medication transfer to hard-to-reach areas.

OPERATIONAL SURVEILLANCE

It enables the airlift of staff and/of wounded in the fire area.

Within the context of fire fighting, it supports the extinguishing activities and delivers food and water to the staff.

ALPİN is used to convey logistic supplies to hard-to-reach areas in search and rescue activities.

In forests, it meets fire fighting staff’s hose carriage need, it transports the hose in case of externally interfering to the fires in multiple storey buildings.

It is used to extinguish newly-started fires in forests by spraying small chemicals.

For detection and control in open-cast mines.

To prevent smuggling in borderlines,

For coastal safety purposes in coastal areas,

ALPİN is used...For fire detection in forestlands and/or day-night control purposes,

To measure the fertility of agricultural fields,

Thanks to its ability to fly at very low altitude, it is used to sprinkle seeds and disinfect agricultural fields.

It takes pictures and images of the electricity transmission lines for purposes of periodical line maintenance activities.
