Documentation of Existing Conditionsat
917 Oakdale Road
This photo shows the driveway side elevation of the house. The screens are to be replaced with windows. This is the only change on the original elevation of the house seen here. The rear non-historic addition (siding) is to be removed, as well as the deck and stair at the rear.
Above is the front elevation of the home. We plan to restore the front entryway, and replace the screens on the side porch with windows and replace the roofing with clay barrel tiles (as seen in historic photo below) if budget allows.
This photo shows the vantage point from the street toward the right side of the home. Below see this side of the home from the rear yard vantage point. We are planning a side covered porch off of the new family room addition. The proposal is well within the building setback and will be 35’-5” back from the front of the house. As you can see from the photo above it will either not be visible from the right of way or minimally visible.
This photo is from the Oakdale Road book showing the historic facades of the homes along the street. This photo shows the original barrel tile roof as well as the original front entry canopy. We would like to re-introduce these elements to the home if budget allows.
The photo above shows the rear facade of the existing house. The non-historic deck and stairs will be removed and we are planning a 2-story addition on rear of the house.
