Detector Technology

• Sun Nuclear’s objective is simple: To provide the Medical Physics community with a fresh approach to radiation measurement by improving the measurement quality while also streamlining the process.

• Sun Nuclear manufactures radiation therapy quality assurance instruments using both diode and ionization chamber technology. Sun Nuclear chooses a detector type based on the application for which the instrument is intended. The Daily QA 3™ uses both detector types. Applications involving the measurement of steep dose gradients require a small detector if accurate and precise measurements are desired.
